It is and good for mu budget. Power not an issue to me and i listen music on volume set at 15 and the room is full of sound (I have zensor 1 speakers which are awesome), don't even need to activate super bass. I'd aay dm39 is way better than same price systems, it's like a mid range between the micro hi-fi and bigger guys :-)

+AcousticAppraisal Yes,Dali Zensor do get along really well with the dm39. Just listened to the new Pink Floyd cd "the endless river" and it's really impressive. Audiophiles stuff indeed!

Only £299 (dm39, dali zensor and speaker cable) but the whole system is much more worth what I paid for. Excellent value for money!

Thank you. Have you heard of the Philips FWM387? If so, that is the stereo I own. It is very good and powerful (when you start using the MAX sound and the other enhanced sound settings). Such a shame to hear that you no longer own the Denon. Which do you prefer; the Yamaha or the Denon?

You can directly connect a turntable which has its own line level output pre-amp onto the amp's analog input. These would be for example all Audio-Technica models with USB in their name, Denon DP-200USB, DP-29F and DP-300F, and many other inexpensive ones produced today. Just look for "Phono pre-amp" or "Phono equalizer" in the product description or data sheet. Please note that although this amp/receiver has USB, it's only compatible with storage media such as harddrives and flash memory sticks. It will not recognize a turntable connected to the USB port. Turntable connected to a computer via USB becomes an input which you can record from. Audio from USB input will not usually pass through to the output. It can be made to by software, but it's probably going to be cumbersome. For turntables without a phono pre-amp, you'll need to supply one, so you connect the turntable to the phono pre-amp and the phono pre-amp to the amplifier analog input. This amp only has one analog input, so if you need to connect a computer or something, you'll either need to either pull the cables every time (be careful or use high-grade cables - cheap ones can break leaving the tip in the amp socket), or use an external switch box, or use the TOSLINK optical digital input. Many PCs (but not laptops) have a TOSLINK output today, so look for it at the back.

does this denon do bluetooth or wifi?

I found out if you connect the dm39 to a pc via rca cable sound is not processed by internal dac meaning it will not sound like high fidelity. So reviews recommend to use toslink cable to connect to denon input in port. Just to let you know guys :-)

It does have bluetooth...with the miniblink sound quality should not be an issue

having said that i had an £800 amp, roksan kandy k2 and there isnt much difference between that and the denon. A little more power but same detail.
