They should have put a toroidal transformer in this thing, maybe for $100 more, and it could have been such a budget killer amplifier!

Quick comment. I worked as an auto parts tech and shipper/ receiver. When you open a package once you slice the ends open, lift up so you don't inadvertently cut into the product.

Hi Nice deep unboxing! would you or anyone tell me what is that white colored patch on the case of amplifier & its functionality?

Have the Marantz pm6007 and just ordered this amplifier yesterday. Are there caps on the speaker jacks on the back panel that can be removed? I want to use banana plug wires to connect my floorstanding speakers.

I've bought this product recently and had the same thoughts. Yes,they are easily removable.

Hi I was thinking between a pm6007 and the 800Ne , I just ordered the 800Ne how do they compare which is the best?

@@andymill32 I own both amps. The Marantz has a subwoofer out in the back. PMA-800NE does not. Also, the Denon might have Bluetooth and the Marantz does not??

@@matthewharhai4039 Thanks, I'm only going to use it with a turntable I don't need a subwoofer or bluetooth so I was just wondering sound wise how they compare?

@@andymill32 They're both good. The Denon has 10 more watts per channel but the Marantz has a toroidal transformer.

Volume knob and input selector are metal or plastic?

Outside metal, inside plastic

@@hxosplus Thanks for the answer. Inside but at the front? Touching the knob on the front do we touch the plastic? It looks like metal on all sides.

@@filipog4 Probably, if I remember well, the knobs are plastic, but outside they have a metallic layer.
