To answer your questions.... We also put sealants on adults if there is a tooth that never had decay. As for the grooves becoming higher..... When done correctly by a trained professional the surface should not become higher. The material is very thin. For example we compare it to polishing your nails. The product is incredibly strong to hold up to wear and tear but also very thin so there will be no down time.

@cohenandschwartz Any time I watch one of these videos, I think back to 11 years ago when I was 7 having my first sealants done on my 6 yr molars. I used to have a bad gag reflex so my mom ended up having to take me to the pedodontist and he gave me nitrous for it. Haha, it's so much easier to have these done now!

No nothing is needed. It's like painting nail polish on someones teeth. There is no needles or anything needed for this procedure.Its easy!
