In my opinion, I would check out an alternative like Brighter Image Labs. Your teeth are part of your skeletal system once they are grinded down that's permanent. Also, there could be leakage and the tooth could rot. Also if a veneer chips, cracks, or breaks a replacement is about $1200.00 per tooth. Veneers can cost between $15,000 and $40,000. I'm just saying do all your research before making a life-altering decision.

If you don't make over 400k a year, well veneers are not made for you. I did it in Dubai 30 years ago, and I can tell you that it's the best thing ever...but quite expensive indeed.

No wonder i sometimes detect people with this processed done to their teeth always have somewhat bigger teeth.. slightly awkward smile (like their mouth is full with teeth!!) but extremely white and perfect arrangement of teeth

In my case my front tooth was affected by the braces I was wearing. Had to get a root canal and the tooth turned brown. Now I'm trying to decide between veneers, a crown or a dental implant and everything is so expensive for me ay the moment 😢.

@@kusali11 i have fluorosis stains on my teeth, i had mild ones on my two front teeth, id say they were b/w mild to bad so i had them covered up by dental bonding but now they're slightly showing and i have stains on rest of my teeth so idk.. i also don't like the idea of destroying natural teeth to get veeners but if they're only removing slightly from the front then it should be fine i guess? im really not sure, will get an analysis from a dentist first

Hi there, I have a question! I am currently in the last stages of my orthodontic process (braces), these were paired with surgeries and now it's all about the finishing touches. I am missing my front 2 incisors next to the canines, so my canines are directly next to my middle front teeth. To fix this, my surgeon told me that if I want to, my orthodontist can shape my canines into incisors and my premolars into canines. This would require shaving down the teeth quite a bit. That's why I've been thinking about veneers instead. I'd rather have them build on my teeth than shave it down. (I know veneers require quite a bit of shaving as well, but it'd be less than what they're suggesting). My question is: Would it be a feasable option to suggest veneers to my orthodontist instead? Essentially that they'd put veneers on my teeth to sculpt them instead of shaving them down, that way i'd be able to choose a color which will make it so that I can do the rest of my teeth as well. See, everything's being financed because this whole process what not about esthetics rather functionallity. And if i wanted them to put (say) white veneers on my canines and pre-molars, i'd want it to be uniform so they'd have to put white veneers on my other (front) teeth as well.

They look great, make a beautiful smile. I love it but I didn't do it because I know natural is best, there are cons that you discover only after you done it. I learned this with my rinoplasty. Everything natural is best even if it looks less great.

Are veneers destroying the overall heath of your otherwise healthy teeth? Like does this type of work make them more prone to sensitivity or decay?

Not necessarily. Each time you remove tooth structure, even for a small filling, you stand a chance of making the tooth [more] sensitive. Most veneering only removes a tiny layer of tooth structure. Actually, there are even veneers that don't require any tooth preparation (shaving/drilling) at all. These are called "No prep veneers". Personally, I try to stay away from veneers if possible, and prefer to do full coverage crowns for my patients. The thing is sometimes the veneer is so thin that it will eventually break. A lot of times, too, people forget to go easy on them and just eat whatever they want. Sadly, you have to baby them if you want them to last.

@@bally2203 Oh thanks for the insight! Yeah that's what I thought. It makes sense that any type of drilling will add sensitivity to the teeth. The babying part doesn't seem too attractive lol, I guess I'm not a fan of veneers

@@joeyjoey1154 Sure! Full coverage crowns cover all the visible areas of the tooth. They therefore protect the entire tooth, and also add esthetic value as well. A veneer tends to cover a part of a tooth, and usually has more esthetic value. Since the veneer covers only part of the tooth, it basically does not offer protection to the tooth. Hope that helps!

It is considered cosmetic as it replaces any part that is removed/carved out. In the process, it is usually done to improve the appearance of the teeth size wise and color wise. You should be able to brush and floss the same way you would your natural teeth.

Hello Doctor, I went through orthodontics treatment for almost more than 6 years now, but my doctor failed to cover the gap in the front two teeth earlier there no gaps in my teeth when i started the treatment he removed 4 teeth of mine for the treatment. Now, i have very unsatisfactory result with the gap in front teeth and says the result is not in our hands. he gave me retainers to cover the gap. Does retainers cover the gap? in my case it only cover when I put on retainer 24 hours and if i remove the retainers even for 30 min then get back in position with the gap. what should i do now please advice? So when i was a kid i fell & went teeth first into the pavement, leaving two of my top front teeth with only like a quarter or so. But they didn't remove them Instead they took something & rebuilt the the teeth. Whatever they did it was not really common because last time i needed it rebuilt, (Because they chipp over time) I had a hard time finding a dentist that knew what i was talking about noneless one that actually could do it. I did find one, But i forgot what they said it was. The stuff kind of feels like ceramic or something when it chips off. YOu happen to know what it is they do? Its about that time i gotta go get them done, Composite veneers seem pretty simular but a little diffrent.

tbh i was thinking you just got crowns, idk what you mean with chipping off, that sounds super unintended for your teeth they just do crowns, its all they can do when there is less than half of the tooth left and you want a perfect teeth

@@agagqbq No Thier not crowns. You have to have a tooth to have a crown. No they were rebuilt completely with A Porcelain type substance. & like i said it can't be Veneers because veneers i'm sure lots of people can do, This only one person out of all Dentists & oral surgeons in my area could do. They take a substance & bult it on the stub of whatever is left of the tooth. They do something That makes it harden when they get the shape they want. Then they go in with a drill & shape it to match the size & gap of the other tooth. Btw i've never heard of a crown on Two Front teeth, I thought they only did that with bigger teeth like your molars & side teeth? Its probably venneers or simular too it, I forgot what she told me it was. But they did say it was uncommon. Which makes sense since i was basically curb stomped. & yeah they do chip after some time, But It might just be because i was a Fighter (Combat Sports) , & in the army. Whatever they are I've only had to fix them once, well twice when i get em fixed again because they always chip off in the same spot The bottom where they make the crack between the teeth.

I was in an abusive relationship when i was 22 and had a tooth knocked out at the front, between canine and front tooth. My dentist who retired who gave me a 1 tooth denture said not worth to get a bridge as it destroys a good tooth. 13 years later i go to the dentist, rhe dentist convinces me to get a bridge and i explain my worries that my old dentist said, he says " only a tiny amount of enamal, he convinces me i agree. After the intital part i left feeling upset as half of my canine at the back had gone :( I got back 3 weeks later for the bridge, 2 days in i floss and it comes out. Im devestated what can i do ? I paid money to feel depressed. Please help.

I had my braces removed last year after wearing them for a couple of years. I had crooked teeth before. Now I noticed the right side of my upper teeth are a bit overlapping the lower ones which supposedly normal, but the left sides seem underbite, in result my lips or my smile look little bit uneven. Try not to be scared. It should be okay. The orthodontist may give you a pain reliever before he/she numbs your gums. You may feel a little pressure but it shouldn't hurt during the extractions. Follow his/her instructions so you can heal properly.
