For anyone wishing to install Super Duty axles without modifying the factory axle perches, this is a great way to go. This is also a great option for someone looking to upgrade to a heavier duty spring, such as the Skyjacker FR173S. The intention with this particular swap is to install a Dana 80 with the Skyjacker Super Duty springs for a superior ride and stronger spring rate to help alleviate the greater loads placed upon the truck by the 12v Cummins. This is a really great bracket kit and I highly recommend these parts for anyone looking to do a SD swap or heavier springs such as the Skyjacker FR173S. Remember to take the time to ensure the measurements of your brackets are perfect once they are installed.

Off the topic, in 1978 did they build f150s and f250s at the same time , going down the assembly line? I have an f150 explorer with Vin # 4109, and an f250 explorer with 4110...

Certain models were only built in certain plants. For example, crew cabs were only built in Ontario and F350 Supercab 4x4s in Kansas only. Mawah, San Jose, Norfolk, and other plants built all regular models that weren't something special. The Buck tag would aid the assembly line worker in what the truck was getting. My pops was an assembler at Mahwah and has told me stories about how it went in there back in the day. I have a 2wd F150 and a 4wd F250 that were both from Mahwah.

I have a 74 f100, a 78f250 camper special and a 76 f150 4x4...all 3 were built in San Jose

4" tube shackles, I will be showing that in the next video. I am doing a Dana 80.
