Denver changes length of stay policy for shelters amid migrant surge

Beginning Wednesday, any new adult migrant arriving in Denver will only be given shelter for 14 days, instead of 21. Migrant families with children, however, will have 37 days; seven more than previously allotted.

Money being put aside specifically for them! Where I am the mayor asked for them to come and said he had a few million to aid them. Those millions were given to organizations that aid immigrants, Asians, and Mexicans specifically. So they take up all the resources for Americans AND have their own bucket to pull from that is specifically for them! 😳All while NEVER having paid taxes!

I was working with a mother who has 2 small children under the age of 5. She is homeless and can not get help! Every organization we tried to get her into said they were full and when u walk into the building nothing but immigrants! She became homeless after her Mexican landlord raised rent! She has been on streets sleeping in car in the cold! There is NO HELP for Americans! I literally cried Bc I thought if u have children there would be help. I was wrong!
