Back in 1985, I ran across an 83 CJ5 with the 258 six It was un-molested and was barely broke it. My favorite color, dark metalic brown, and it had a Meyers box top. Iwent home and tried to talk the wife into it, but she wouldn't budge. We were strapped at the time, so I let it go - very reluctantly.

Really dig the CJ-5 and CJ-7. Jeep ended in '06 with the TJ, the greatest generation of Jeep with its military short wheel base, classic rugged utilitarianism, and amazing on and especially off road capability with the much improved coil spring suspension! I love my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn 4.0 I6 with 3.73's, lsd and Dana 44. By far the best and my favorite vehicle I've had. Just a modest 2" lift on 32" ko2's. Kept it close to stock maintaining great on and off road driveability. Not ragged dolled on unnecessary 35's - 42s, like so many asinine rigs I see on the trail. It's about driving skill, not the build. O|||||||O 🇺🇲 Only in a 2 Dr 🇺🇸 '41 - '06

Yep for sure, go on ebay, and type in Best Tops, and you can find tops, doors, etc etc. I found the back window there, and bought it from them as a replacement. Check out what we have coming down the pipeline, www.denwerks.com/liveauctions

There are many suppliers for CJs. I've owned many through the years. Currently redoing a 75 CJ5 that was built and delivered to the Department of Defense. There are some years where things aren't as the Book says. Makes getting parts fun at times.
