Traveling through DEOSAI plains was an unforgettable and everlasting experience. Next travel is going to be somewhat adventurous and a shift from green plateaus to the barren mountains, from vast fields to narrow valley road, from DEOSAI top to Sadpara lake and Skardu.
There were two major attractions that I came across during this travel.
1. The road and driving by myself.
2. #Sadpara_Lake, the spectacular lake surrounded by sky-high mountains. Looks even more beautiful when these mountains are covered with clouds.
Road from DEOSAI to Skardu is wide but narrows at some points. Not dangerous throughout but yes, it is dangerous at turns and slopes.
Total time from DEOSAI top to Skardu is around 3 hrs.

Which car were you driving from deosai to skardu? Is it possible for a normal car to cover this journey without major issue? Also where did u stay around deosai? Any decent family hotels?

I was driving sorento. I do not recommend normal car due ro lesser road clearance. If you srill want to try, give it a try with extreme care. There is no hotel in deosai. Only camps at dwosai top, chhota pani, bara pani and kala pani.

@@TravelDiariesPakistan tanks for your feedback. Nice adventurous trip it seems. Was it sorento AWD (All wheel drive) or front wheel drive model and how did it perform? Did you also try driving it to Burzil top or minimarg?

@@mazbpl Thanks. It's 2.4 FWD. Performed quite well. I didn't go to minimarg during this trip but one of my friend went ton sportage so there would be no issue for sorento as well.

@@TravelDiariesPakistan ok good luck with traveling to Minimarg and beyond. A friend of mine who went told me that at Chillam army checkpost they check the car and ask you to only take an AWD/4WD vehicle to Burzil top and minimarg. Just double check on that.

@@mazbpl I had been to minimarg on fortuner. You're right but I think, now they let go the jeeps whether they are 4WD or not.
