I don't get how no one thinks staryu and starmie are ultra beasts. Design wise alone it makes sense

I remember when Scarlet and Violet were announced, some people would point to Necrozma as a main attribute. Especially since Scarlet (Infrared) and Violet (Ultra Violet) are at opposite ends of the light spectrum.

Personally headcanon, all these 3rd legendary since gen 6 (ig the original dragon counts as well from gen 5) are portion of arceus because they feed or the origin of a new gimmick or energy which is form of infinite energy

Something nobody seems to talk about is the Giant Chasm being the impact site of a meteor that contained Kyurem, most likely as the original Dragon. 2 of the parts of that dragon are treated as all-powerful mons who follow truths and ideals, but in Black and White, the people of Lacunosa town fear Kyurem and getting snatched away in the night by it. The Chasm is made freezing cold as kyurem itself changed the ecosystem with its presence, and now it's full of mons tied to space or Ice types.

With the size of the Paldean crater the crash would have sent shrapnel, dust, and debris all around the world. It is possible the shards of the ancient disk pokemon could be the source of evolution stones, mega stones, z crystals, etc. Meaning Arceus created the original stages of pokemon but the energy from the disk pokemon created evolutions.

The third legendary is probably Psychic/Dark. Maybe it has some connection to the Treasures of Ruin as well. The crown alone tells me it has something to do with that emperor that accepted the treasures...

Think about this. There is another Pokémon that can be psychic type and gains a massive amount of power from an orb that is mysterious but electrical in nature Pikachu is an alien

Funny thing I actually made a fusion sprite art of all the Deoxys forms. I just think it's a cool idea. For me the head canon would be the Deoxys that battled Mega Rayquaza eventually adapted to it and gained a bulk of stats

I had always thought that Deoxy's mutation from space virus to a Pokémon was due to modern technology. When you brought up Necrozma's dex entries, it states that it fires lasers. Could one or more Deoxy's have been created due to a space virus being hit by a laser shot by Necrozma? Overall, a very interesting thought, in the fact that there are a number of Pokémon that have connections/origins to space, and have crystals be a common theme amongst them. Though of course there's the Clifary line, and Elgyem line that don't have any crystalline properties. (It's not stated that the colored orbs on the Elgyem line are crystals, though that could change in the future) Still, very interesting occurrence nonetheless.

A part of me thought you were gonna bring up Staryu & Starmie being able to know the move Reflect Type as a way to connect them to Terastalization since this status move allows the user to change its typing. Granted, I don't think that Staryu & Starmie are connected to the third legendary of Paldea. It is a nice coincidence, though. It could at least be that Pokémon from space and Ultra Space share similar traits and abilities to one or another. That said, I do believe that Staryu, Starmie, and Deoxys are from space. On a different note, I like the nicknames for your Bewear and Porygon-Z.

A theory I have is that the name of the third legendary which is blanked is not blanked by the professor rather it's an attempt by the pokemon to stay hidden

Mew was the source of all pokémon in the original games on GameBoy. And it could learn from all TMs (and HMs back in the day). That is something I'm pretty sure Arceus never could do, despite its ability to change its type - which would actual make being able to learn every move make sense, due to being able to get stab from any move it knows. Since Mew would *now* be able to terastralise into any other type, its ability to learn any move is much more useful, competively.

The holes at Deoxys' hip and between Deoxys' tendrils at the bend not being cut out, but the other hole between the tendrils *right next the other hole between the tendrils* having gotten cut out… it baffles us… Just our autism noticing small details… not a problem, just something we noticed…

Liked the theory might not agree with some parts but overall top notch, slight counter argument/theory like Necrozma might be the silver surfer and this third legendary is like galactus or deoxys being like revaroom…sounds crazier than you might think

Happy new year dood. You manage to make me think and blow my mind on this one. Deoxys possibly coming from the crater is highly plausible. Now the Starmie/Staryu theory make since just based on there Dex entries alone.

I get h.p Lovecraft vibes again with how things are in books and these paradox monsters are unknowable or paranormal. One monster is azathoth who sleeps at the center of the earth and it's through it's dreams that we have a reality. If it were to wake up everything would cease to exist. So if it is an egg or part of a meteor maybe it's just recreating some Pokemon based off of someone describing it to it while it's asleep. It's recreating the same pokemon but makes up its own version based on what it conjures up as a mental image.

To the point about the 3rd legendary being linked to arceus, the drawing of the 3rd legendary reminds me a lot of the alchemical being known as mercurius which if you look into is shown to be a god like being. There is a series of videos on KZfaq about a guy who knows a lot about alchemy reviewing full metal alchemist brotherhood and talked about how “father” is mercurius and the “truth” is god and how they are both the same being. Which makes me think that the 3rd legendary is the lesser sibling of arceus and was locked away due to it trying to take the “throne” away from arceus. I have more to this theory that explains why the paradox Pokémon from the past predates some older Pokémon and how the 3rd legendary pulls the paradox Pokémon before the time machine is made but it’s too long to put here

All of these crystal based aliens could have been reminants of a lost planet of crystal based life forms that were from one reason or another, maybe the planet was destroyed by a natural disaster and the fragments flew to the earth. Maybe the disc pokemon were some sort of a hivemind on that planet.

Really hope Deoxys becomes transferable when the DLC drops. Minior too since it hasn't been in a game since Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. And I dont know why the Fossil pokemon aren't in the game considering the whole past and future theme.

There are a few holes in your theory such as with Kyerum and the other two dragons being connected to the other gem Legendaries (mostly because there was no gems and black and white were created before the multiverse was made) and I don't evolution stones are part of the new legendary simply because they've always been around since gen 1. But the rest of the theory was fantastic and gave a lot to think about.

Very interesting hypothesis as always Drogane. I do wonder if Gamefreak lore researchers are looking at other cosmic origin theories as well. We can tell that Arceus origin mirrors the big bang theory of universe origin as in the begginning there was nothing and then an egg appeared which turned into arceus and arceus created everything. Just like how it is widely believed that in the begginning there was nothing and then a big bang happened 14 billion years ago and our universe was created. There are many scientist and fields of science that believe in multiverse and recently the idea of the big bang not being the origin has come up in 2 camps; 1) the big bang is just part of the cycle as it indicates the end of the previous universe and start of a new univerese or 2) our universe is just a tiny part of a grand multiverse and the big bang was the iniator of our universe. What i'm trying to get at is that, perhaps gamefreak are looking into these alternate big bang theories which would mean Arceus is just one of the possinle creators. There might be more, hell there might even be far superior class of beings that created arceus and arceus like beings. I mean where did the arceus egg come from in the first place right. So you're hypothesis of the disc pokemon being another creator diety might not be that off the mark given that it does come from space just like Arceus and has time manipulating powers. I know talked about the theory that disc pokemon might be the reflective aspect as part of Arceus but then why would it direct interfere with powers that were supposed to the clear domain of Dialga and Palkia? Sure there is room for argument that Dialga and Palkia's jobs are actually just to monitor time and space and they can only exert enough power to balance out the anomalies in space and time. Actually as im typing this im reminded of the events of PLA. Dialga and Palkia could have easily stopped all the madness in Hisui if they were truly masters of Time and Space. Its arceus that calls the player character back in time, not Dialga the master of time. Dialga and Palkia combined could not balance out the fabric of spacetime in Hisui caused by Volo entinced Giratina. This also brings to question as to why Arceus never interfered with Cyrus in DPPt when we was trying to use Dialga and Palkia to destroy the universe and make it anew. Perhaps arceus knew that Dialga and Palkia are incapable of doing that since their job is just stabilization of anomalies, they cannot create a new world. But why did Arceus interfere in Hisui and not any other region ever? You could say one is because of the Hall of Origin that lies atop Mt. Coronet but only in Hisui specifically since Giratina could potentially cause enough anomaly to break arceus's connection to this world. As mighty as arceus is, perhaps the real battles it faces are all in space or with other universes. Its only physical connection to our universe is Mt. Coronet so it will do all it can to protect that place but could not care less if Galar or alola is destroyed, even though the threats were not of this world. I know, another essay comment from me whats new. All im trying to say is, i see a lot more evidence as well as inference pertaining to your hypothesis. I believe what you eluded to in the video has alot of merit and the disc pokemon could be arceus level in terms of raw power. Perhaps terastal energy is completely different from Infinity energy that comes from Arceus. The only part i disagree about would be necrozma because there is some conflicting lore regarding it. Ultra necrozma is its ultimate form and it made purely of light. The black husk were first introduced was the cause of ultra necrozma losing its light and that is why necrozma consumes (fuses with) Solgaleo and Lunala to get back its light which was lost. Its not necesarily evil in the sense it just goes wherever it wants and destroys the world and its light, its just trying to get back to its original form. Its even eluded to that Solgaleo and Lunala are actually products of Ultra necrozma so i see it as another arceus level entity in that regard. We know Ultra space is not only an extraterrestrial space but completely different dimension/universe. we know there are different people in different ultra spaces with the dudes shown in Kartana's world and the ultra recon squad. Other then that, deoxys, starmie, solrock, lunatone etc yeah they could very likely parts of Disc pokemon that fell to earth at different times and conditions which why they turned out how we see them today. Another pokemon that people dont think about which comes from space are actually Jigglypuff and Clefairy. There are fan theories that both of them come from the moon and that actually they were originally the same pokemon. Its speculated that Clefairy are the jigglypuff that came to earth earlier and thus adapted more to earth while jigglypuff have only recently come down to earth. The fact that we have scream tail as a paradox pokemon and it being a psychic type like majority of pokemon coming from space, gives certain credence to that theory. Perhaps Scream tail actually comes from moon and it got carried to earth when by the broken fragments of meteor carrying Disc pokemon. Regardless of whats true, I want there to be mention of relationship between Arceus and the disc pokemon. We've never had legendary pokemon outside of sinnoh/hisui having relation with arceus (apart from silvally which is just humans attempt of making arceus).

Well the disc Pokemon Legendary. In all of its images it shows itself like an egg. but in the beginning of the universe of Pokémon Arceus came from an egg. However it's been proven that somehow time has been divided since earlier games. Especially when it comes to mega evolution. As a representation of a separate timeline. In Pokemon mystery dungeon Arceus had to recreate the Pokemon world. All the Canon is pointing towards that the Pokemon universes themselves have become unstable allowing something foreign to invade or hear me out them invade another time. This new third legendary could be another version of Arceus. Instead of hatching from the egg fusing into the egg instead.

I imagine the third legendary would either be Psychic/Ground due to It's connection to Terastallization and as a counter to Koraidon's fighting and Miraidon's electric or Dragon/Psychic as the two paradox legendaries are both dragon types like Cyclizar who's normal type is not strong or weak against psychic and dragon.

If this 3rd legend is as strong as arceus and can rival it in power I'd love to see it get it's own legends game either filled with new pokemon or paradox forms and past forms like with legends arceus. Maybe a game like zelda link between worlds could be gen 10 and you can actually travel to it's home world

Deoxys being an alien virus that evolved in poke earth makes it hard to related to the legendary directly but the legendary directly as it's posibly older than the meteorite rayquaza destroyed. Necrozma is completly unrelated to it or at least it's landing necrozma comes from a different universe as it was the light source of the blue guys. The unova dragons is way too much of a stretch fusing is not that rare in pokemon even in gen 1 we had zapmolcuno in the manga. And the reason dpace related pokemon are often psychic is because it's because they represent aliens civilizations from beyond the stars that sre way more advanced than us

Back the time when Arceus had to make up what kind of worlds to create... at a time when it was fresh born... had no idea... no ideas... no details... what if it created planets with conciousnes first. What if once all planets been crystals and in different dimensions, places and universes those died and normal pkmn got created. Evolving with crystal material? Would explain why all meteors seem to be made out of crystal like materials with similar powers, and all crystals.
