Here is the rule of melodic hardcore: by the time you find a new cool band, it has already disbanded

Had no idea this was on KZfaq, was lucky enough to go it was one of the most emotional nights of my life. Very surreal occasionally glimpsing myself in the crowd. Thank you for everything, your music has helped me through so much.

I remember when I discovered you guys and.. I went to my local independent store and they ordered a copy of teenage haze for myself because they had no copies. I know that wasn’t your first release when I literally fell in love with teenage haze and looked more into the band. I live in the states and knew no one that knew of you guys. I then got my friends listening to the band and only after one listen. That’s how good Departures will forever be and how vital the band is to melodic hardcore. My favorite moment was when I ordered and patiently waited for the James Dean Departures shirt that I ordered from the band. I knew that it was being shipped from the UK which was why the word patience appeared. Much Love Departures(forever)!!

I’m so happy I discovered them when they were still together. High school was so much better with them, they patched all that hurt

This is why I love this genre, so much love, interaction and people in one room that feel the same things as you. You don't find that often no more. Thank you guys for everything, you had a HUGE Impact on me throughout the years

sad on so many levels: the breakup, and the last few days before the shit went down with the pandemic. I love the interaction between the singer and the crowd. We all took that intimacy for granted and now we can see it is not.

This has got to be one of the saddest ends to a band for me personally. I wish the lead vocalist with his condition (and the extremely talented band members) all the best. Taking care of your health is number one priority. But i'll freaking miss you guys. Such a unique and breathtaking music you have produced. Even after all these years I have you guys on replay. Your legacy will live on in your fans 👍

What happened with the lead singer?
@Cryfield1999 Жыл бұрын
@@borndead1997 As far as I know he has a heart condition which restricts him from doing anything that get's his blood pressure too high, hence they had to quit 🤷

why did they split up ?
@dominicidecorvus Жыл бұрын
The singer had a heart attack and found out he has something called VEDs I think. It's some sort of blood pressure and heart condition that is rare and I gues has a very high mortality rate.
