Just remember. As interesting and impressive AI songs like this are, let’s all keep in mind that these models are learning, modeling, andEXTRACTING their melodies, arrangements, voice, tone, etc from listening to a huge body of Depeche Mode music. If Depeche Mode hadn’t created that whole body of music, the AI wouldn’t be able to do this. Keep this in mind because eventually AI won’t be able to create anything completely new. That’s not derivative of something that came before. You could kind of say that about all songwriting but this is that idea on steroids - - we will always need humans creating new way of expression to keep audiences interested in the next special thing that moves them.

We respect artists by their creativity, their songwriting skills, excited by their voices, wear their shirts, cry at their shows, discuss their music with friends, defense their awesomeness and fight for them. Where these all go is very depressing because AI can write great songs, exceptional lyrics, sing beautiful voices, come up with production ideas subjectively better than Rick Rubin at a fraction of minutes. And I make these comments not as a professional producer, multi instrumantalist and a mixing engineer, but as a humble fan of music.

Wait a minute. This is good? Any hardcore DM fan would notice the lack of intensity. DM was one of the forerunners of electronic music, they wouldn't sound mediocre. Like electronic music practicing. There would be an edge or some kind of weirdness never heard before. Where's Marsheux to punch it up.

Sad indeed...where 's the music, the search, the Time sharing between artists in studios...so so sad. I don't blame anyone i just hate AI. But i am glad to realize this process is far from doing DM real stuff. Kinda approx Moog sounds from here and there do not make a DM song neither an AI can become Mr Gahan or Mr Gore. I love human, sweat, tears and concerts...forever
