I had no idea or existence of DM in 1988. I was a thrasher metal head. Then in November 1989, change my whole trajectory of my musical life. I finally decided to join friends at a disco. Soon after I paid and walked in, I heard the muffle sound drop and Strange love play on the dance floor. Never heard these sounds before. I Was 17 years old, never looked back. At that time the term was a new waver. That's what I become. Then jumped to Industrial, goth synthpop, even techno and grunge by 1991etc... DM♥Forever.

DM introduced Technic Punk Rock and it influenced so many bands like Linkin Park and Muse. They practically created multiple musical Genres and paved way to so many bands.

Crazy. I was a skater thrasher into metal/punk but Depeche Mode and various dark wave was acceptable in those circles lol

Gutted I missed Strangelove and Flies on the Windscreen back in 09. The setlist changed when they finally came back to the UK that year. Whatever they do after Spirit, I hope they just keep making albums! or even better, have a visit to SENS research and tour forever!
