Two of my all-time favorite songs welded into a new one.
This mash-up was more complex than it sounds in the first place, because the instrumental part had to be constructed from various samples from Front 242's haunting track "Operating Tracks" from their first full album, Geography.
Vintage stuff, but IMHO it's timeless music, much like Kraftwerk's, and I love that song with its driving beat and dry, electronic sound.
Combining this early EBM/Cold War style with a rather groovy Depeche Mode tune, "Policy of Truth", might appear odd, but it's the contrast that makes the combo interesting. And somehow the music makes you focus on the vocals, there's even some sense of urgency and seriousness now.
All done with Audacity on a total of 8 tracks, hope you like it?
"Standing so tall that noone sees...".
