Thank you darling for the video! When I was living in Africa, I didn't know depression exist. I remember that we used to laugh about it that these white people are always depressed in spite of everything they have until I came abroad. Depression here is real!

Have tried telling people in Africa who are so eager or salivating to come abroad, but most of them won't listen. They think I'm trying to block their blessings. Immigrating is ok if you're really down and have nothing. People who have good jobs back home should just stay home and come visit abroad for vacation. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

I agree with this.I'm Kenyan and years back I travelled to Dusseldorf,Germany to visit my sister and experienced the un-social part of life first hand.Life was lonely.I would mostly spent time in the house, especially when she is at work. The streets were almost empty most times; people are most times locked in their houses, playing video games or surfing.I didn't bond with the environment and when my visit visa expired, I was happy to travel back home!

Thank you for posting this video. I’m from Colombia and have been in the United States for a few years on grad school. Before moving, a man who has returned to my country from the US warned me about loneliness and depression while abroad and I did not believe him. I thought he was just a grumpy man. Now I understand what he meant and I warn upcoming grad students about the cons of living abroad and how to prepare and cope with them. There’s always a price to pay for the things you want in life, we just gotta chose which one we’re willing to pay

Completely agree with this... I am an Indian but still this is true for us Indians..... we have lot of people moving out to foreign countries, myself being one... but you don't realize you are in a totally different world with no one around no support at all. This is a big issue and I haven't found solution to it myself. Don't know what I am going to do. We cannot save everyone, God gave us all hands and heads to work not rely on others. Yes, we can help or support others but only if we don’t suffer for our own disadvantage. What you are saying is the truth. I always made fun of white people that cry put loud "depression, loneliness". I never thought I would exprerience it here. Especially in western cultures, there is no sense of community and nobody minds your life. S even if you have problems whether personnal or not, you won't have anybody to run to for help. When you are in your home country, yes you can feel sadness and loneliness but atleast you are surrounded by family and relatives and you have someone to talk too, even you can talk with a stranger on the road , he won't mind listening to you😂. That is why here in Europe many people end up in therapy. without freinds or family nearby life can be too much
