I just got out of 11 days at my psych Hospital. I Baker acted myself because I was suicidal. It did the world for me talking with others with depression. People think depression is laziness. My newest diagnosis bipolar 1 with major depression. I'm taking Latuda along with 120mg Cymbalta, 150mg of Wellbutrin with 4mg of kolonopin and 10mg of Ambien. I'm feeling good now

Thank you for this information as I keep reading more and more to educate myself on mentally illnesses. I have some with many mental issues and at times it's overwhelming .

I have bi-polar disorder but whenever people ask me about it i can never expalin it to them and nobody can ever understand me how i feel. And its hard.. sometime i wana be alone and this last 3 month i spent the whole time at my room...i just don't wana socialized. I don't know how to move on.. I don't wana go on like this...my family can never understand... I don't know what i should do😢

Do these periods of different emotions last a few minutes and then swing to another? Because things like that happen to me a lot, and the depression part with the bipolar disorder, I feel all these things. I don’t know if I should get diagnosed, because I don’t people to pity me. I don’t like focused attention. I think I might have bipolar 2. I don’t want to get diagnosed though.

If they are lasting only a few minutes then it might be hormonal mood swings but i said MIGHT. You should talk to a licensed therapist

Someone just said that ADHD is usually feeling manic or depressed throughout the day and FFor bipolar disorder it usually lasts weeks or months

Do some research before heading to your doctor. There are some general test online like do I have bi polar questions. These are not dr results it is just a tool to see maybe where u are at. I think a dr may ask you simular question. I know mental health stuff I felt less than untill I broke and got help. If decide to talk to you dr. Just know your dr can adjust hoe much your talking so if the meds make u feel to numb the communicate with the dr and they should work with you. Things like that just try to be aware how you are doing untill you feel better. If your not ready right now it's ok the community is growing and hopeful will get stronger and more affordable. Be well

otaku oppa since no one else replied I thought I’d come forward and say yes. It is possible. I , for example, was diagnosed with both. Hope that helps?

I was told that once you have at least one manic or hypo manic episode, you are no longer diagnosed with major depression disorder. Just bipolar (1 or 2) Because bipolar often (but not always) includes deep depression it would be redundant to be diagnosed with both. But there are specifiers for bipolar to give more detail about how your cycles manifest :)

Okay no you cannot say that. Bipolar Disorder is periods of lows and highs hormone behaviour coming from the brain. It does not mean we are crazy, it's an irregular balance in the brain.
