Gypsum is poured because it has the ability to absorb moisture from soil to reduce the resistivity of soil. Depth is necessary to reach a water. reservoir to keep the earth moist

agar app ne earth apne garden mai lagana hai to 10 foot ki rod zameen mai thok dou app ka earth lag jaye ga kyun k app apne garden ko wese bhi pani daite rethe ho to app ko 20 foot ka bore karne ki koi zaruat nahi.

Pl review your statement reg rod length & diameter. As resistance increases with the increase of length while decreases with the increase of diameter. Hence lengthy conductor/rod reduces the current flow while larger dia of conductor/rod increases current flow...

Electrical Earthing Resistance is different than conductor resistance. You are correct in term of conductor resistance. But in case of electrical earthing Resistance decrease by 40% as length gets double

Think in terms of contact area of conductor and earth soil. As length doubles contact area doubles and hence decrease in contact resistance.

Actually it depends upon Followings::: Type of soil. Clay, sand, clay with sand mix etc Clay has 40, sand has 2000, clay & sand mix has 100 soil resistivity. U ve to dig till achieving the type of soil that has low value of resistivity. Soil resistivity reduces by... Soil moisture means wet soil. Depth of soil. Adding salt contents ( copper/magnesium sulphate or sodium chloride.

If you use copper earthing conductor of 35mm2 it has 0.55ohm/ km whereas if u use 50mm2 it had 0.39ohm/km. Earthing conductor may of bare/strip/rod.

How to verify home earthing?

You can verify earthing with earth testing meter. But usage of earth testing meter is complex and only trained person can use it

If your earth resistance is lower than 3 Ohm or 5 Ohm to some extent, it means your earthing is good. Value can be measured by earth resistance meter. My opinion, it should be less than 3 Ohm for power earthing.

@@qaisershehzad it is not matter of opinion. International standards are made after multiple industrial and environmental testing effects. One person opinion doesn't matter. Value of resistance is important. And lower value is mostly required according to reason of earthing. In some applications high resistance earthing is recommended. Unless you get reading of Electrical Earthing science and engineering point of views of NEC and IEEE, you will confuse electrical engineering formulas and concept with this different science.
