It near enough always kicks off in that corner. Police absolutely useless

I worked with the latics home stand and they are very passionate about their team however they are up for it given the chance. Stewards are only people, they are not security or fighters themselves. There are sia badge holders there but never enough to stop a crowd of fans up for it. Police are paid to attend but are only there for support. At this instance support was needed and and where are they. Fans are responsible for their own behaviour and want to act like this with many actually wanting this. Pitch invasions can cost the club £1000 per person who invades. Last season they wanted to invade and I said that your club will be fined. Their response was so what, not my money. Which I replied "that's why your club is struggling because they are constantly paying fines for your behaviour" to be honest, I think the fans like being at this level, they get away with more. It's a difficult one to prevent the behaviour of fans, how do you punish them? You could van them which has happened before at Oldham but the owners wanted the fans in seats making a noise which you can't have if you banned then all. Then there's fining the club by deducting points. Should stop the fans behaviour or maybe not but comes unfair to the players. So no easy solution. £22 a ticket though is extortionate

Oldham messed up the ticketing. They should have only sold them to their season ticket holders. GMP won't let Dale sell more seats to Owdum - although they do for well behaved clubs

Wasn’t Rochdale fault for the tickets it was oldham for putting them on general sale at the time. Why would we have you two stands not a chance unless you had the Conner of Perl street at the time

Trouble is most stewards are just local people getting paid about £20 for a days work , they aren't professional , who wants to get a slap for £20 , I blame football clubs for relying on untrained people to do the policing , 30 years ago there would have been a line of coppers separating the ends. These days police are out hunting hurty words online. Stewards do about as much as they can , but tbh if it's a slap in the face or just let them slap each other I'd let them go at each other , plus if you did get a bit handy to stop it , you would no doubt probably catch a charge yourself so stuff it imo.

No other country can fill a ground like this game in the 5th league like ours.
