Derek is my favorite drummer and with his recent announcement that he will be stepping down from Alkaline Trio, I felt compelled to make a video compiling my favorite moments of him over the years! Such a wholesome guy with unmatched talent behind the kit. I’m gonna miss him more than words can describe, but I’m thankful that he gave us so many years of amazing drumming and that he is doing what’s best for himself and his mental health by stepping down.
