How to enlarge Derek Hatton’s over inflated ego, which he was and is, never short of. Young looking or not, least we forget the incredible damage he and his militant gang inflicted upon Liverpool in the 80’s.

No Thatcher inflicted the damage. She vindictively cut the budget to Liverpool. The council set a budget according to the money they should have had. The houses they built are still there. Public transport was fantastic and we kept voting them back in because they did a lot of good for our city. Do not deflect blame away from Thatcher.

Graham Rogers: You have a point but you set the budget according to what you are going to receive. All other councils did, with the exception of Militant. Also, I do agree Thatcher has a lot to answer for. However, the de-Industrialisation of the West began in the early 70’s under UN directives. Hatton and his crew made a situation far worse than it already was. Hatton is nothing more than an egotistical, virtue signaling, champagne pretend socialist shitbag.

There would be uproar if someone told a 71 year old woman she looked good for her age but that's women's fault for being to sensitive about their age. The only sexism there comes from them and not society where an innocent compliment would cause uproar of course she then is free to make a comment about him needing viagra but no outrage. There's your real double standard and sexism and once again it comes from women.
