This made me cry...In a good way. I've been following "Baker Banter" for a little while now. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that you showed this part of "real life" with real emotions. What made me cry was seeing Derek mature in front of the camera. I sometimes do feel the girls tease Derek a little to much but I only see the side you show here. I don't know the whole story. I don't see every moment of the day and it could (and most likely) be all evenly dished out and Derek probably teases them both just as much. I love your family and I am honored that I get to watch your life and be a part of the "Baker Banter Family", the Crew. You all show so much love, understanding, compassion and even a bit of stubbornness. RAW, REAL LIFE. I don't see Derek as "special needs" or as just a person with down syndrome. I simply see Derek as a WWE loving, funny, silly, handsome, caring, goofy, sweet, gentle, tough and AMAZING MAN, who just by luck is rocking that extra awesome chromosome. Derek, you are a role model to so many people. You and your family show us all that family isn't perfect. Family sometimes takes teasing to far and hurts feelings unintentionally and tempers can be hard to control. At the same time, you show us it's ok to get mad but that you can't sit in that anger and let it consume you. You work through that anger and let it go. Carry on, forgive, have fun and always always ALWAYS let LOVE WIN ABOVE IT ALL. The thing I think is important to remember is you deserve respect. And also, just as much, those around you also deserve to be respected. It is something that is sometimes forgotten. Always remember that just because you are joking and teasing someone, that person will sometimes not take it as a joke and their feelings can be hurt, even if you didn't mean to. Remember that those around you have every right to be angry when their feelings are hurt even if that isn't how you meant it. Apologies are often hard when you meant no harm in it, but that persons feelings are valid and important even if you didn't mean it like that.
