While in Mexico, it was the perfect time to meet up with our buddy Collin and his 2021 Mustang GT MT82 car and get some fun runs in with Hades and see what the outcome would be! Honestly, I think I figured out how to properly study street race with 10R80 transmission and man is it quick!

Another great video! Those calipers are close to the color I’m going to paint the ones on my 19. I’m wanting to paint mine the same or close to same as my highlighter green mountain bike. I think it would look pretty good against the magnetic exterior and black wheels.

I was pulling it down in sport and just leaving it and my hard shifts 2-3, 3-4, have smoothed out a lot harder a wot but smooth down low now. Drove my beauty to Disneyland (6hr trip) 81 up the grapevine under 2k rpm’s with a/c on too! Love that cruise control!

Got my Mach 1 with the 10r80. It really does rip. My wife has the 10r60 in her explorer st and it performs wonderfully as well. Amazing transmissions.

I love both challengers and chargers. Challengers can look menacing but i cant get past their weight. My friend just out his RT challenger on the scale and it was over 4500lbs.

@@TheModAddict I have an '18 Hellcat and it's not something that's nearly as bad as everyone claims. The car handles the corners fairly well, some basic mods and it does wayyyyy better than it should for the weight.

Idk why anybody would like Mopar boats... this 10r80 with e85 and a few bolt-ons will gap a hellboat. It's all over KZfaq. 10 speed a cheat code.

Why don’t you activate the digital gauges in the centre of the digital instrument cluster? You have got so many options-linelock, diff temp, automatic transmission temperature, vacuum, inlet air temperature and heaps more.

You are only an hour from Charlotte? I was just there last week doing the mach 1 track attack at Charlotte motor speedway drove the X.3 M both ways and was pleasantly surprised of how well it handled the tail of the Dragon! :-)

Ya the Gen 3 mt82 is pretty lack luster considering how much HP they make stock. My old bolt on tuned Gen 1 beat bolt on tuned mt82 Gen 3s no problem

Are you using the paddle shifters on the race in the intro ? Or does your exhaust just sound that way when you slow down ?

You put the shifter in S mode so it’s in paddle shift mode. You downshift to gear you want to start in and then stomp the gas and once the car gets higher in the revs you click the shifter up once into auto mode and let the car do the shifting. Car shifts way faster then you do with paddles.

Hey Derrick while your car is stock see if you can run a 15-17 6R80 with some minor bolt ons and exhaust. I’m curious how efficient these 10 speeds are against the 6 speed autos. I figured bolts ons would help in the horsepower dept too to make it fair

I'm not certain on the exact differences (as far as specs go), but I have a 17' 6 speed auto and there's quiet a big difference between mine and the 10 speed auto. Both take off and top end the 10 speed is more effective as expected. I'd say the only place that feels somewhat even is from a dig vs the 10 speed. Mine is mostly stock outside of aftermarket exhaust and tires.

@@cynicchris3883 I have a 17 GTCS 6R80 3:55 rear end with the Ford Power pack 2 installed and a Borla Atak Catback. My sister in law has 19 10R80 and when I drove her 10R80 stock the car had balls. I don’t know if I can say it’s faster but when that car kicks over in 2nd in track it throws the car fwd. My 17 has balls top end. If I launched it I think I would take that 19 but I don’t know lol, never raced one. I’d like to see what my 17 would do against a 10R80 and an experienced driver

@@Sick_ridz Have your sister race you just to get an idea. I also have the Ford power pack 2. With 305s Nittos in the back and 285s in the front. Corsa extreme cat back exhaust system. Mine definitely has balls but it has nothing for my buddies stock automatic 10 speeds. There's quiet a bit of work to be done to my vehicle if I want to match a stock 10 speed. Which is why mine is in the shop now getting a 2018' intake swap.
