2 жыл бұрынAfter installing a Mac Off-Road H Pipe on my 1988 Foxbody Mustang GT with a set of Flowmaster 40s, I felt like the car needed a bit more "spunk" so I went ahead and ordered a pair of SLP Loudmouths and ran them as a dump setup right behind the rear axle! My neighbors are going to hate me for this..

You gotta get some flow masters back in there with a BBK x pipe with high flow cats and long tube BBK headers! Yours dosnt have the 5.0 sound. Nice car tho

Well done 👍. Have to give you a hand 👏. I had an 88 GT in high school and yours is a shining example of many good times I had in it. I’ll never know why I got rid of it, but it should still be in the stable. Truth be told I bought a brand new Ford ranger with extended cab. I worked construction all through college. Looking back….my god, I should have kept her! Yours reminds me of mine and I will always follow your build to see it progress and your experiences with it. I had super 40s turned down on my fox. No matter what muffler you go with, you can’t make these cars sound bad. I love the way OG 5.0s sound compared to new. Just too raspy and sounds like a cat getting stomped on.

What I liked most about your car was the originality, including the turn downs at the rear bumper, granted the chrome tips were a little extreme. I hated my fox with dumps. I bet it would sound so much better and crisper with tailpipes. But to each their own.

Back in the day I ran off road H pipe into 2 chamber flowmasters, 2 1/2 inch exhaust all the way thru. Always got compliments on how my cars sounded. Black 87 GT w/ sunroof and Emerald green 92 notch. You could hear both cars blocks away, even with moderate traffic going back and forth yet neither one sounded too loud sitting in front of you. I thought they were perfect and flooring it under overpasses and in tunnels sounded so wicked! I thought about dumps back then but I was told not to because the fumes would ride up inside the car. Any truth to that?

Nice.. Been running Dumps in all my Stangs for almost 30yrs.. Always used 3chamber flows though.. Deep/Smooth tone,minimal drone compared to 2chambers & always used sound-deadning material on rear floor-pans .. Cleaner look out back, always hated exposed t.pipes except on LX models..

The worst mistake ever i done that 20 years ago to my 5.0 and the smell of gas inside the car will make you regret what you have done also all the dust now that your rear bumper going to have is insane you can always keep the factory tips just make the muffler shop cut them shorter. PD sounds amazing.

Off road catless x-pipe paired with either magnaflow magnapacks or pypes m80 catback sound the best 👌 Flowmasters are overrated and slp's are more of a 2v exhaust lol they sound the best on a 2v engine

Just curious, how do you guys determine what these cars are actually worth? I am looking at a 1989 drag top and this thing is clean from front to rear....You cant really lookup a blue book value on it. How have you guys done it?

Have them dump the tips right out in front of the rear tires with a blacked out flat tip and u will be able to see the flames at night
