Our good friend ‪@StangMode‬ invited myself and my 2022 Mustang Mach 1 to race his brand new $70,000 2024 Mustang Dark Horse with some roll and dig races! The Dark Horse is stock BUT does have that nasty 10R80 transmission which is a game changer! The 2022 Mustang Mach 1 is equipped with a 6 speed tremec transmission which means I have my work cut out for me racing!

Love the content bro. I have a 21 Mach myself. Don’t let them guys say it’s a FBO car. It’s no where close. It’s a stock machine with headers and E85 tune. From the research I have done the GT350 intake, TB and CAI isn’t the best for a coyote. I also had a bullitt with the same set up. You can gain quite a bit by swapping to a JLT or PMAS. I say all of that cause them saying it’s a FBO takes away from your wins. Than you for repping the Manual guys! lol

If Ford had built a 2024 Mustang Mach 1 with the same equipment as the Dark Horse while including inflation. Then adding the upgrades from the interior and exterior, the upgraded 6 piston front. 4 piston rear Brembo brakes and the new Gen 4 Coyote with stronger internals found in the Dark Horse. The Mach 1 would cost as much or more than the S650 Dark Horse. When the Dark Horse is tuned with headers added. It will be interesting how rerunning these races will turnout. Dyno testing with bolt on Kook headers on a Dark Horse showed 30 additional horsepower. Regarding a tune. I'm guessing we'll find out together by next summer. Knowing how Stangmode rolls. We'll likely see a Whipple added soon.

Do you guy's ever think about gearing too?? 373's are going to pull way harder than those 355's in that 10 speed.. 3rd gear is usually when I pull away, 2,3, to 4th is far more nastier with 373's..

Its still a manual car though. The TINEST mess up (like the first dig race) is the make it or break it. Even though the launch wasnt TERRIBLE, i absolutely smacked all the gears and still got gapped because the 10r80 is just no comparison when racing stick cars

Dude already pulled the seat out, LOL.. they did like small little 15 HP jumps between gens to honest.. Too me I like the S197's and the S550's the most.. I am getting an MGW shifter, totally needed for down shifting and quicker up shifts too, and then in a couple years, she is getting super charged just deal with E85 in my trunk.. Oh and don't forget that Mach has 373's to the dark horse 355's.. It matter's my 373's reel a lot of DCT's in and I still have the shitting stock shifter.....
