What rolls do ships have and how to set up crossfires. At lower tiers(!) I’m sick of seeing tier 8+ ships with lvl 14 commanders and the content creators saying ‘it’s just that easy’. For example, take the tier 3 Russian BB into a match and get into the top 4 on a regular basis. Anyone can YOLO in a DD and get exp

Great video! A small addition om geting commanders as a new player: All bureau projects for legendary tier ships award a commander for completing the first segment. New players will benefit from jumping around between projects getting those commanders, instead of being bogged down in later segments where they won’t have the ships or leveled commanders to do decent progress anyway.

Very good Derka. These tips are more about the game in its entirety. Now time for the top ten combat tips for new players. 1 - don’t abandon your flank. 2 - don’t sail broadside. 3 - adjust your speed and direction constantly etc etc. I’m sure you could come up with some awesome info for the noobs on actual combat.

Okay so the paint is not 1 to 1. Melting paint yields more paint than you break down so it doesn't actually cost 750 paint for a grade 4 perma

Awesome vid Derka. One of the best things i did was use the bureau for commanders. Cut down the time to get them by doing that 1st segment and moving on to the next one. If i already had that commander, i used the segment to unlock the legendary skills and not waste my universal commendations. I'd also try to get a t7 premium to unlock 2 commander crates a week now that we have that. Just don't go crazy upgrading until you know which ones you need to use. 3 D

Great guide, I’ve been playing this game for around 2 and a half years, but I only got my first tier 7 around a year ago. And only really knew how to play properly when I played my first high tier game.

Great vid as always Derka, here are couple suggestions to add, IME. Bureau Project and Commander suggestions to add. Start each new Bureau project for at least a monute or two, shoud WarGaming decide to remove them in the future. Also only activate projects that you currently hold ships and commanders to boost with, this may seem to slow the overall progress, but will actually speed it up in total. This also prevents the 3 month player from getting deleted and losing silver when they pushed for that Shima. Been playing 3 years, and im only jow about to unlock my first Bureau project with the Khabarosk. Spend 10.5 mil/week silver for the 3 commander crates, this will get you all your commanders relatively quickly, and keep the Commander XP for leveling them.b

I really appreciate the diversity in your videos the different classes in tiers I think it’s helpful for new players to see good players giving their opinion on lower tier ships too. I just got the northern Dragon out of a box and I have no idea what to think and I have no upgraded commander lol any advice??

It's basically an AP only ship, the HE just doesn't pen anything, so hunt for broadsides! Since the AP is 100mm you can use it against enemy DDs as well. Hardwr than avg DD to play imo

One of the most important things i would add is dont go down the rabbit hole when you dont have the money stay out of the store.. if your constantly lookin at those ships your gonna buy. If your gonna make a purchase do it and move on dont double dip. When you spend money on those boxes and you dont get a ship its a big let down. Forcing you to grab more deblooms to try again. Im at 250.00 dollars spent. Thats way to much it took 2 months and i did get a fleet pretty much. But kinda wish i would have only spent half of that or less. Ive gotten good pulls ngl. But alotta those pulls have been ships I don’t even like or even play with like destroyers. Dont get caught up in chasing some super rare ship from those boxes. Its like the lotto you can get lucky but more offen your not

My one tip would be, have fun! its a tough game to learn and get good at. just hang in there and be patient. There will be people out there that will poop on you if you play badly or get bad luck. If its not constructive criticism, do you best to ignore it and move on. Play the way you want learn at your own pace.

Nice Vid mate. Good tips and essentials. However I have an issue or a dilemma where I’m not sure what to do. When your flank is falling and you’re the last one, and are in a battleship, is it right to flee to the edge of the map when being chased by a Brandenburg and trying to destroy a Roon, wasting their time and hopefully giving your team a better chance? Because I did this and the Roon got super angry at me and used disrespectful wording. Even when I tried to offer my perspective, he blocked me. I didn’t even disrespect him, only offered to ask if he was ok since he was hating on me. Did I do right though? Focusing a Roon, and kiting away on my flank?

I made the mistake of letting my brother play on my account. He sold my AL New Jersey and spent half of my global xp because he wanted to use Bismarck. Worst part is he could have just bought Tirpitz and I would not have minded it because New Jersey was fun to use and I can save gxp back up but New Jersey is limited.

The playing the different ships thing, yes. I play them all so I understand what is going on when I ask for help and stuff. I get so many destroyers and cruisers wcreaming for help when Im in a BB and its like, well, she goes 21 nauts and you have ran off in front of everyone and youre like 45 nauts away, so Ill be there about 2 minutes after you die. If you need my help, you're going to have to drag your pursuers back to me. Im trying, but it ain't gonna happen. Also, not every destroyer has smoke screen or has optioms where theu mighr be running something else. Or theu scream for fire support like none times and its like, yeah, gotcha, 'bout every 34 seconds I can shoot. So, yeah. Or its like a cruiser but its got like 2-3 guns. I guess what I mean, is get a little bit of familiarity with different classes and different nations so you can understand what is going on and why certain things are not happening the way you expect. And maybe plan your game around what your team is rinning a little better. If you jump in and there is a tier up aircraft carrier and you all have crap for AA, you may want to make the aircraft carrier a priority, or go hang out with the american BBs on your team. It will help a lot. Wondering why your Emile Bertin cruiser is hiding from the BB? Go get one shot in it a few times in a row (I speak from experience) then ya know.

Before I watch : In my experience since March of this year (2023) Cruisers are the hardest ships to play as against other players and there a good few reasons. Also, you will come across countless idiots who dont have any foresight or competance in battle. Me? : I know a trap developing when i see 1. Like a pincer movement.

I still sell my ships, i don't have enough time to play to always have the silver needed for those tier 7 and 8, of course i regret it but a big part of the tier 7 and 8 i have today i wouldn't be able to get these Though i still agree with those tips, more people should know these, playing lower tier makes me wonder what kind of people are some of those players

As a destroyer player and a battleship player I still do not understand why destroyers are still so broken. The torp damage needs to be reduced across the board even on some cruisers. Speaking of cruisers the no damage dealt fires need to be fixed.

Tip no 1 for a brand new player starring today: Don't start. Game is beyond peak and growth is over. Also can never get anywhere close to vets with 3 years maxed caotains within at elast next 2-3 years. Not sure if the game will have enough to survive another 2 to 3 years.

@@DerkaGames no evidence as official stats are concerned but indications. Almost all major CC channels are not increasing numbers anymore, many consider to cover other games by now and players alike. We shell see but this is what I read between the lines from those numbers.

First tip is don't play this game. It's full of annoying issues at the moment. If you want your sanity delete this game and play something that's actually fun cause after around 200~ hours this game is a shit fest and not that enjoyable

FYI people usually use battle played and not hours when they talk about this game. What annoying issue are you referring too? If standard match aren’t your thing you can play against the AI.
