I think it’s so perfect how you mentioned that not disclosing that she was the face of the Laneige blue is deceptive. Even if she did love it before now we question if she is biased. I had this same thought when some OG KZfaqrs were complaining about how audiences wanted affiliate codes disclosed as such. Because I thought it was the same thing. These channels are using these people who are the faces of the campaign should also disclose this information

Most of this thing is an ad. She sprays perfume at the end. And coincidentally it's a newer fragrance from Armani, a brand she also works with.

Honestly, she is not someone who had her skin care all figured out apparently, and she probably was introduced to a bunch of their products when she was hired as their model. It's not really all that weird that she would use their products, and they might work well for her. I totally get that she's probably biased, but when you are the face of a brand, they gave you a ton of stuff. She probably wouldn't use those products if she hadn't worked for them, but I bet she just is comfortable with them now.

OMG what you said about hyaluronic acid makes so much sense now. It never really worked for my skin and seemed to either irritate it or dry it out. It’s annoying that it’s in literally everything right now lol. The only product with HA I still use is the vanicream daily lotion at night but only when it’s dead sweaty summer and humid.

I’m glad it worked for you I did it for years when I was younger for something else and it didn’t work until i was willing to accept it. My life is much improved now, but I wish my brain would’ve accepted it earlier I could’ve accomplished so much more. What is a sugar coated way to bring this to attention as a possible condition for someone without making the individual feel like we are dismissing them?

I think you guys are looking into this a little bit too much. She admitted that she wasn't really sure about skin care before, so when she got hired to model for the brand, she was probably introduced to a bunch of products. If she hadn't been hired by them, she probably wouldn't have found them on her own, but it's completely reasonable that they are what she uses now because that's what she knows. There are brands of skin care and make up that I only use because I was introduced to them in sample beauty bags like IPSY, and I liked them and kept using them. I'm sure she got a bunch of free skin care from them, and they became part of her routine. I will agree though, she should have mentioned that she was given those products because they hired her as a face.

So, about the cleanser thingy in 2:50 in my case, when double cleansing: - First comes the oil based cleanser on dry skin, remove the make up with gentle massaging and then wash my face - Second on wet skin apply the water based cleanser where I do a gentle massage once again so it becomes foamy and then wash my face.

I don't do make up and I don't use a mineral sunscreen but if you do, I recommend using an oil based cleanser first before wetting your hands or your face and then gradually applying more water as you go because it would take everything out better this way. I used to use a mineral sunscreen and this was the best method for me. Also whenever I did eye makeup this worked wonders on getting the makeup out. Now I only use a chemical sunscreen and therefore I don't feel the need to use an oil based cleanser, so I just wash my face first, then get the water based cleanser, foam it a little on my hand and then put it all over my face and massage it until it dries and i wait for a minute so that it gets the time to work. This is the best way for me to apply cleanser.

I just wanted to comment on the periolar dermatitis. I also got it when I was around 24 and doctors could not figure it out so I tried to fix it on my own. Finally I kept reading that diaper rash cream helped other people. So I decided to try zinc as a vitamin supplement instead of topically since it's hard to walk around with white stuff on your skin that doesn't absorb. The dermatitis faded after the vitamin built up in my system after a month or two and has not returned. It has been 10 years now and I don't even take zinc regularly anymore. Does science back up the zinc theory Dr. Idriss?

hi i dont know if youre still struggling with this but I used to swear off dermatologists when i was younger cause I have done multiple things such as: tazorac, benzoyl peroxide washes, epiduo, laser, etc. and although the laser did help, it didn't get rid of my acne or my VERY DARK scars (it did work a bit, but i also pick whiteheads cause they skeeve me out). I honestly feel like the combo my derm gave me of differin gel (which i purchased on my own and she okayed me using prior to Tretinoin) and winlevi + consistent sunscreen use everyday is preventing breakouts and helping my scars fade faster than anything I have done the past 10 years. I also use the cosrx snail mucin (inflammatory for many but not for me) & rosehip seed oil from the ordinary mixed in with my cetaphil facecream. My cleanser is the cerave hydrating one and I don't really exfoliate extra anymore. And I'm already seeing great results with scarring & texture just after 3 weeks of using....so I really recommend doing your own research and then going to a dermatologist, if you can, with knowledge. Even if you just stay consistent with Differin Gel + sunscreen and simple cleansers/moisturizers, i'm pretty sure you'd get amazing results. Just my 2 cents!!

Totally head over heels with the information you provide in the INSURMOUNTABLE skin care industry. Also, I was the happiest to see your HA video because I tried HA but it DID NOT work for me AT ALL. Since then I have been avoiding serums with HAs. Honestly, I am literally now double checking ingredients on my skin care products (in my over simplistic routine) and also leveling up the game, since I have got a direction and knowledge to understand my skin better!! I have a request if you could do another video on glycerin? I mean can we apply it directly, buying an OTC bottle instead of any Glycerin based product? But yeah that is a bit tacky. I sometimes mix it with Vit C Serum. Is that okay? I hope you do respond in your next video! Thanks a lot for your effort. Much love ❤️❤️ Keep up the great work!

Answering your question: prepping the cleanser with water and apply on wet face unless it’s a cleansing balm/oil, then I rub it between my dry palms and apply to Dry skin then wash with water and a cleanser to follow when I have makeup on

The cleanser I use is designed to put on a dry face. When it’s messaged, it turns to oil and then you add water and it turns milky. I use a cloth to take off my makeup and then I go back in again and just message with my hands on a damp face and then rinse.

Sydney's around my age and my skin is sure not as beautiful as hers. Sydney is definitely taking good care of her skin. Although personally I wouldn't compare myself to her because I am pretty sure she has access to better professional services than I, in addition to genetics. I do aspire to have a smile like her's though.

I' m 47yo, hun. Let me yell: *A PERFECT SKIN IS POSSIBLE ON THE 21st CENTURY!!!!* 😅 My struggle was loooong and agonic and I don' t want anyone else to feel hopeless as I felt without the existence of internet, living in a small village... It' s my moral duty to encourage your generation. Don' t give up until you find THE derm. We have the scientific level to fix any problem so, no more worries. Best wishes 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

Using a balm or oil I go on dry skin. And using a gel cleanser my face is usually wet from the balm cleanser rinse. But I'm now 41, I've done it all - with the exception of injectables and surgery. 40 is not as old as you think.

My cleanser doesn’t really foam without water. So I usually splash a bit on my face & then put some cleanser in my hands and rub it together to pre-foam it, then apply.

I go in dry with a cleansing balm, oil or cream cleanser and then remove with a soft damp washcloth, but will have a damp face for my gel cleanser and will end up applying a bit more water to my hands towards the end to get it nice and foamy 🙂

I use a cleansing balm first which is oily then milky when you rinse. I follow with a gentle foaming cleanser.

I normally double cleanse, using a balm to remove make up. I then mix a little of my cleanser and water in palm before massaging it onto my face. And I only wash my face with cleanser in the evenings.

Dear Dr Idriss! Thank you for all your tips and guidelines - I have learned a lot from your videos. My skin is prone to hyperpigmatation, especially above my upper lip and on the forehead, with some occasional breakouts on the jaw line. For my night time routine I use cream with retinol and 12% glycolic acid interchangeably (3 times a week acid, 4 times - retinol). Is it too much ? I always use a 50 SPF sunscreen during the day. Thanks in advance!

What a fun video! I do use the Laneige lip mask, but that’s it. Thank you for the tip on putting the Vitamin C Pique packet contents in water! I tried to suck it out of the packet and my husband was horrified when he saw me because it leaked out the corner of my mouth and it looked like blood was dripping down my face from my mouth! I will try it mixed with water next time. 😊 💦

You' re gonna kill me buuuut... I' m a ballerina. I wear drag amounts and 2-3 fake lashes. I break it all with olive oil and my fingertips to avoid unnecessary rubbing as fast as possible. *INMEDIATELY* without oppening my eyes, luke warm water ready and a foam cleanser (CeraVe or LRP) in a pump, I blindly rinse this mess twice. Then, the routine can start. 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 And yes, we take photos to each other when the oil has melt down the black liner and the face is a Brent barrel😝
