Thanks, Graciela! For the first time in a long time, I don’t want to change anything up in my skin care. It’s working well! I pared it down a bit for travel but kept the main staples, so hopefully this 6 weeks on the road won’t set me back!

Can I just say I absolutely LOVE the gold eye look on you! It looks stunning with your skin tone. Oh my middle daughter would like to know what color is on your nails? Thanks, Lori! I’m wearing the Sally Hansen gel - it’s a royal blue as the main polish, and then their new “strobe” effect top coat. They have 2 new effects topcoats and the strobe one is so fun I haven’t tried the other yet!

Oh, I liked the way this looked at first, in fact your face still looked nice at the end to me, but I know we can't see as well via YT, as in person. I liked the way this went on and I'm looking for something good for dry skin too. I don't remember if you chose your FAVORITE hydrating products to wear underneath. BTW, did you review the other DermaBlend Flawless "pigment drops" liquid foundation? U might not like that one as it is full coverage. I ptefer medium to light coverage myself except that other Dermablend one looks so cool on anyone who wears it, IMO.Anyway, THANKS for this review & I'll be watching you☺

Hi Shelly, you raised a good point that the mineral oil creates a barrier to water evaporation on the skin. However, the dryness that you feel is likely coming from other ingredients in the foundation (ie. talc, magnesium carbonate, titanium dioxide and kaolin) which, depending upon their concentrations, can draw moisture and oil from the skin. It's the same thing with hyaluronic acid. Everyone thinks that just because a product has HA in it, than it acts as a moisturizer. But, in fact, it can actually dehydrate the skin, particularly when it is in a powder product. I'm also not convinced that HA would pull water from the air instead of the skin and the moisturizers/products on the face that it is in direct contact with. This is something I do know about since part of my PhD studied the effects of dehydration.

Omg I keep having the same problem of it next to my nostrils the worst where it almost flaked off! So disappointed because Dermablend used to be my favorite and finally decided to treat myself to their camo & its such a waste so far! Gonna stick to my Revlon Colorstay I guess. I tried this one about a year ago and my results were similar to yours. I likely wasn't going to use it again anyway as the color looked downright orange on me, but it was still a bummer. I had such high hopes since Taylor speaks so highly of this one.

I love your videos! They always help me, especially since we have the same skin concerns. Have you tried the new tatcha the pearl? I was just wondering which one is better the tatcha or the becca under eye primer?

Hi Ashley! Yep I love them both for different things, but I have not had luck wearing them together - so I’d say go one or the other depending what you’re most concerned about. Becca on me seems to be good for one main thing - smoothing the under eye. It doesn’t do much for color correction on me, but it’s very smoothing (a little more smoothing than the Tatcha). The Tatcha pearl on me helps more things - definitely brightens and helps cancel out the purple and the sort of concave shape of my dark circles, and it’s moisturizing and a little bit smoothing. If I could only have one I’d probably go with the Tatcha, though I brought the Becca with me to Ireland because it travels better. I love them both but for different reasons :)

This foundation looked pretty smooth on you and didn't appear to oxidize. But the drying aspect would bother me too. Last winter my skin was the driest it has ever been in my life. Very uncomfortable, so for a makeup to feel that way is a no-go for me. I can't believe it's day 13 already!

helpfulnatural I don't know what was up with this past winter? Lack of snow or rain...here anyway...my skin was the most dry it's ever been also! I normally have an oily skin type, well dry to combination oily. So I'll take some dry...but this was unreal! Have a glorious day/night!

I've always been normal to dry, with my dry area being my cheeks. I know menopause has a lot to do with it but I was piling on the oils like no tomorrow and my face soaked it all in like a sponge!

So sad we're nearly at the end of the megafest, I'm gonna miss it. Damn, I really thought I was gonna like this one. It was way more dry/matte than I like and strewth, that's far too yellow for a supposedly cool foundation! (Actually, so's the BtW one). I dread to think what the Dermablend "neutral" looks like!! I really don't think I could get away this one at all, you're lucky you're more neutral than me - the minute you said "peachy" pink I thought "bugger, it's gonna be too warm". I really need those truly cool blueish-grey pale beigey pinks - not peach/salmon ones that skew too yellowy-orange warm on me. At least it didn't oxidise, and on my monitor and so probably IRL at a conversational distance, it didn't look too bad finish-wise and fading-gracefully-wise.... I've seen worse! LOL.

I was hoping this one would work, but it did the opposite of making you look smooth. I'm combo, but too have had a foundation appear to absorb into my skin & just leave pigment patches on top.

It's funny you should say it's drying for an oil foundation. I've been learning about different carrier oils and there are certain ones that can be drying. For instance, on some people, coconut oil can be really drying, which is the case for me. Then, on others , coconut oil can clog pores. It's crazy I tell ya!!! :)

Estee Lauder Double Wear is my go-to, though I've been really enjoying the YSL All Hours too. I haven't tested it in as many conditions, though. Hourglass Vanish is what I've been wearing for this Ireland trip and it's beautiful. I suppose it depends what finish I want.

Sad to see FMF almost come to an end. I’ve been loving it! I know you try not to get into too many controversial things, but this Kat Von d anti-vaccine stuff is crazy! So many people boycotting and making videos. I’ve never had anything from her brand, but I know you love her. I also know you are an educated, pro-science person. Probably tough for you. Hope Ireland is great!!

Yeah it disappoints me because I always took her to be, well, smarter than that I guess. I’m taking it kind of the way I think about politicians and celebrities and other artists - for the most part, as long as their disagreeable things don’t impact their work, I will continue to support the work. I am getting quite sick of her injecting it into all of her social media lately, which would be the kind of thing to get me to switch off from her. So we’ll see. I think her stance is unfortunate and a risk to greater public health, but it’s her personal life and she’s not breaking any laws (though I wonder how she’ll get her kid in school... homeschool I suppose). So I’ll keep buying her makeup for now.

Geek Out of Water agree. Put off though that she says she has thoroughly researched...not possible because the overwhelming evidence shows vaccines are necessary. She is like some of my students....”oh we are so smart and enlightened and you are just blinded by ignorance because you are a sheep....you’re not woke like us”....that kind of attitude that turns out to be wrong 99% of the time. That is what irks me about it. She is acting like she is an expert and knows something that most of the rest of the world, including the science community, doesn’t. I wouldn’t have a problem with her living her own life and making her own choices if it didn’t hurt other people, but her decision can be deadly to others. 😢

You looked very rockabilly with the red hair and black and white stripped tank top. Super cute. I have been eye balling this one up, it being a mineral oil fountain, matte but hydrating, and long lasting. Sounds like it doesn't live up to those claims. Meh, so happy I didnt buy it!
