With the new album, Sonder, Dermot Kennedy admits he’s never related to a word more. Sonder, “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own,” encapsulates universal themes of love, loss & hope, with the platinum-selling artist evolving into an even more expressive and powerful storyteller
Lyrics:
Where do we go from here? Something came in with the night
Snow came in heavy, my boys and me wandering blind (yeah)
Well, it's temporary darling
Now that bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan heard all our lines
Meant what I said, I want all of this all of the time
Ooh when I'm gone
At the dune with the dawn
Well that's all I could want
We were young
We were free, come on now, let it go
We were young
We were free
I was living in the cold, I'm coming home
Perfect line to open with
Her heart was never meant for this
Ooh we're never over it
We were young
We were free (yeah yeah)
All that she said to me stays with me, never to die
Held me brand new in the silence that went through the pines
Like I said already darling, I don't want you looking back at all the ghosts left behind
Know you'll stay near me so road remains hopeful this time
We were young
We were free, come on now, let it go
We were young
We were free
I was living in the cold, I'm coming home
Perfect line to open with
Her heart was never meant for this
Ooh we're never over it
We were young
We were free (yeah yeah)
Keep it another fortnight, keep it another fortnight
All I'll ever know, baby we were bound to burn
Keep it another fortnight, keep it another fortnight
All I'll ever know, baby we were bound to burn
Baby we were bound to burn
We were young
We were free, come on now, let it go
We were young
We were free
I was living in the cold, I'm coming home
Perfect line to open with
Her heart was never meant for this
Ooh we're never over it
We were young
We were free (yeah yeah)
Oh, when I'm gone
At the dune with the dawn
Well that's all I could want

Yes i can fill his music but that because it helps me couse i was 1 and my naney died and once i herd the ferst song he wrout it just riminded me of the good fings she did and if she could still be hire she would be so proude of me and wen she died 2008 all she gave me to remember her was a teddy bear and nowe his songes shoud how the small things can be the most important and i cep it whith me every night so i wont forget her befor she died she had canser so she foult some funny things but what some fond stuped were some of the best things . And now i miss her but i know she is looking down on me and protecting me she will always be in my heart like i know every worde to most of his songs and they may just be words but they mean so much to me .

Be proud. We don't want Dermot to end with all those mainstream rookies. This is real music. He belongs here. Seeing Dermot in small venues is the best thing ever. If he becomes mainstream and real famous it's gonna affect his songwriting for sure and he will play big shitty venues! So yea, we don't want that to happen :)

Derm today I was stood at the uni reception and there was a young doctor there, not going into specifics, but today was the first time a really belly laughed, first time in a year, not sure why he was so funny or why I found him funny, he was just a really theatrical person I guess, but doctor Millar Jones once said to me that sometimes when you can't cure someone that reassurance is as good as a cure. Today I realised that sometimes so is laughter, even if it's not going to change the future,it changes that moment. Hero's come in all shapes and sizes, from all walks of life and I hope that my hero for today goes on to help and heal the world weather it be from medicine, miracles, magic or moaning, I feel it in my bones that this man definitely will 💜
