Derren Brown, excellent with Pattern Interrupt Handshake Induction. Here's a VERY Rare example from the Channel-4 Original "Mind Control" episode from year 2000. This shows Derren placing a youth-offender into Trance via a pattern interrupt handshake induction.

Derren is saying "im not hypnotising you" simply to avoid broadcasting guidelines in the Uk, The Hypnotism Act of 1952 (Uk) and to avoid any claims of "psychological damage" resulting from hypnotism. If the guy in the vid later claimed "psychological damage" Derren reply would be "i didn't hypnotise him" then the guy would have to prove he was hypnotised, which of course he can't. Don't read to much into Derren's comment "im not hypnotising you"

I think it's interesting the way Darren always says, and Iv'e seen this on half a dozen programs, "I'm not hypnotizing you, I'm just blah blah blah" he just adds in some phrase or other. "I'm not hypnotizing you, I'm just allowing you to experience a deep sense of focus and concentration." for example. My guess is he says that so people don't unconsciously 'worry' that they are doing it wrong. Also in this instance he says to the guy "Take your time, and choose the moment." When he says "Choose the moment." he pauses for a beat and that's when the guy moves his finger and the 'subject' picks up on the idea that 'now is the moment'.

This is a TRICK - While the sitting guy is in trance Derren says "you will feel a pressure" NOTICE The Black-Box thing on the floor covering both their feet.....

It's really hard to do it like that. you need some pre-framing. you need to know you're the leader and need to condition him into being receptive.

No, I think he just keeps talking while the kid is waiting - "take as long as you want" etc. Then when he stops talking, the sitting kid just assumes that the other kid has raised his hand. There's no black box

Yeah, but which one was he talking to? When he said "choose the moment, beleve you can make his hand move" they both thought he was talking to them. The guy behind thinks is in control but the guy sitting down wants to move this guys finger from pointing at the back of his head. They both think there controling the other when in fact there both just reacting to derren at the same time. 😂

hypnosis is no trick, and is very powerful tool in the hands of right person. perhaps this at the end was a trick, but the induction wasn't.

can i do a handshake induction to a person who has no idea that he/she will be hypnotized? if i shake the hand of my friend for example? (that friend having no idea that he/'she will be hypnotized)

Yes Cherub gerdzim . It’s called a “Pattern Interrupt”! I take normal action that everyone does, but break the tradition to seize the moment to inject in the conversation, “ Look at me, look at your hand”. Whilst grabbing the hand and quickly placing it to persons face. ( Two thing will happen: 1. The persons mind has a spilt second to figure out what’s going on. You in turn give the suggestion saying to “Sleep”! The mind will quickly grab the Hetero Suggestion. Because at that moment the mind needed something to tell it what to do. 2. The persons eyes lose focus, which disorientate the mind/ cause a moment internal confusion. Peace from the Magi Hypnotist in the East. 🇲🇦🇺🇸✡️🙏🏾

It's Ericksonian interrupted handshake. The trick here is to hypnotize and do subliminal suggestion. It's very difficult unless you are really into hypnosis. This is not a party trick that you can learn just by watching KZfaq videos or so

I know I was referring to the trick not the hypnotic process, and with chill I was referring to your kinda overblown reaction with the use of words like fuck and dumbfuck, react like a hypnotist and simply roll with it, plus dude used the word trance which kinda implies he understands a thieng or two about the subject.
