It grinds my gears so much when people say Rose robbed Lebron of an MVP
@Lomno12

Narrative man. Noone is saying that with Lebron, we all were robbed from good basketball. Even worse, setting horrible example for kids. No accountability, no sticking with team, working on skills and going through the grind. Bad behaviour on the court is being rewarded, yelling and screaming at refs and coaches is a way to go. I am so disgusted I don't even wanna talk about it anymore

@Lomno12 None is saying that with Lebron? Now I will admit it may not be as popular as a topic today, back then, there was quite a bit of talk about how "Lebron should've gotten mvp over D-Rose". So I'm not sure where you are coming from.
@Lomno12
@Lomno12 Ай бұрын
@@hydra2966 you misunderstood. They were saying it and it is part of their narrative to put others (in this example rose) down and glorify lebron. I can see that my comment might be misleedaing due to "that" and "," right after :)

Le-BUM James, has NEVER been robbed of an MVP. In all reality he has too many. If anyone was truly ROBBED of MVP's. There is only 1 true answer. And that would be Kobe Bryant. For him to have only 1, is truly criminal

I had a lot of admiration for him even after the injuries. A lot of players would have retired when faced with his situation, or would have struggled with accepting that they are not a star anymore. But he has continued to bounce back, continued to contribute to different teams. He is tough as well as talented.

DRose got me interested in basketball again after my fandom lapsed with the end of the Bulls dynasty. It’s unfortunate that the Bulls FO wouldn’t go all in on the group that reached the ECF. If they had another high level playmaker & shooter next to Rose they probably could have taken the Heatles eventually. It also sucks that the primes of Rose, Joakim Noah, and Jimmy Butler didn’t quite line up. That is a real contending core right there.

Derrick Rose... WHAT A PLAYER. An emotionless assassin. Brought a ray of hope to Chicago... only to be violently taken away from the basketball gods. fck all the lebum d-riders for saying D-Rose robbed the queen from an MVP. Rose deserved that MVP. he was producing 70% of that (offensively) talentless Chicago team. He was responsible for them having the best record in the league while missing Noah(defensive ancho and best rebounder) and Boozer (2nd best scorer and 2nd best rebounder) for over 50 games combined... Playing with old axx Kurt Thomas as a starter for like 30 games. Having Bogans and Brewer (not corey) sharing the minutes at the 2guard.... and forced the Bulls to the ECF where he was singled out by the Miami defense, blitzing him, switching lebron, wade, chalmers and Bibby on him, while at all times Bosh, wade or lebron (depending on who was the main defender on each play) were shadowing Rose. Then they were funneling him to the paint where 3 or 4 players were waiting to blitz him. and they consider this an achievement of lebrons personal defense(laughing out loud) and also the main reason why Rose didn't deserve the MVP (laughing out even louder) p.s lets be clear about ONE thing. WE NEVER SAW PRIME Derrick Rose. We sadly saw his basketball PEAK, but never his basketball PRIME. An athletes PRIME is literally between his 26th and 31st years of age.

I heard his diet was horrible. He had an addiction to sugar, candy. And mostly lived off of candy, or at least was eating lots all day every day. That ruins your body. Inflammation constantly, and all the other horrible things sugar does to your body. I really feel like that affected his body and made it easier to get injured and made healing a lot more complicating.

Hands down, my favourite player to watch between 2008 and 2014, yes, even after the injuries hit him. He was so gifted, sadly injuries are partially his fault. Word on the street is he would consume a pound of candy in one sitting, did not look after his body until it was too late. Super athletic, does not get enough credit for his game, ball handling, explosiveness. Miss those days and still rewatch any game of his days with the Bulls I can get hold of. Still the youngest MVP of all time! To quote Stacey King "too big, too strong, too fast, too good!"

The 2010 Celtics/Bulls series is my favorite playoff series of all time and IMO the last truly great series but I turned off the NBA in 2019 after seeing Tatum get a steal and have a 1 on 1 situation and pulled for a three instead of driving to the basket so maybe there's been a good one since lol. I maintain to this day as a bulls fan watching that era closely, if he doesn’t Tear his acl, lebron has one less title at least for not making the finals in 2012 or 2013. In 2011 the bulls were young and literally had a shooting guard scoring 4 pts a game. And they only lost to a superteam, because they triple and doubled team rose every play. That team in 2012 was much deeper on the bench and had plugged that sg hole.

without giving Rose some extra help ECFs would be our best bet. the ECF vs the Heat and how they dealt with us defensively was all you needed to know. Ignored everyone and just focused on switching, blitzing and double-triple teaming Rose was the gameplan. and it worked cuz the rest of the guys a) werent really good shooters and b) couldnt create their own shot. The dependance on Rose became even more evident the very next season. When we (the bulls) as the first seed got clapped by the 8th seed 76ers the moment D-Rose got sidelined with that god damned ACL :(
