In this walk we headed to the beautiful Peak District to take on Derwent edge.
We parked up in the Heatherdene Car Park at Ladybower which cost around £6 all day which I thought wasn't to bad. The weather was set to be clear and sunny but Cold.
We started the walk by taking the path at the side of the Ladybower inn and headed up onto Whinestone Lee Tor, this was a short but gradual climb onto the summit, with good banter it was easily conquered.
We walked along the edge taking in amazing views over the other edges of the peak district and views across to Kinder Scout and the Edale and Hope Valleys, you could even see as far as Black Hill in Saddleworth.
We enjoyed climbing up onto the rock formations reliving our youth.
Good banter all the way round this walk was the focal point in anything a great set of lads having a laugh whilst having a hike.
Derwent Dam was spectacular with the overflow in full flow well worth the visit.
