what is the difference between Descartes' argument and Anselm's? They're so similar it's confusing !
@russchadwell5 жыл бұрын
I think I may be able to further explain Descartes' odd premise, possibly: I know there have been Jewish arguments that G_d cannot be totally comprehended. That idea gets somewhat involved, so I won't cover that. But, perhaps it is THAT aspect of God that he means? And, not so much just the direct and simple existence of God alone? Perhaps it is WE who have simplified what he is talking about down to just God's existence?

How does Descartes prove the reality of God, soul and the physical universe in his theory of knowledge? Reply please

he honestly doesn't but he does assume that God is beneviolent and wouldn't deceive us like the Evil Demon theory.

His proof for the physical world is through his skeptic process of knowledge. I.E. knowledge comes from the indubitable. He doubts everything until he arrives at the fact of his doubt, confirming that his mind exists, then that God exists (through this method & others) therefore the world exists and his senses can generally be trusted.
