She was told to play dumb and to marry at royalty status... Along the way... She realised that she didn’t need to do this... AND THEN SHE BECAME MY DESCENDANTS WONDERWOMAN...

Theory: What if, Maleficent lied about Mal's father to hide that she's secretly afraid of him because he's more powerful than her? She may of ruled the Isle as the most powerful villain, but what if she is the most powerful FEMALE villain? Mal's dad could be reaching out to Mal to reconnect with her and then manipulate her somehow into turning evil again.

zoe moner just because she said dad to a ball of fire or an orb or whatever it is doesn’t mean it’s Hades. I mean probably is Hades, but maybe not. Maybe Hades is working with Mal’s dad. I mean why would the writers tell us Hades is making an appearance if we all know Mal’s dad is too? Probably is Hades, but I want to be surprised so let’s see.

According to Greek Mythology, a whole bunch of gods have hooked up with mortal men and women to have kids. The gods were in human disguise, or they could kill the human looking at them. But either way in Descendants, all the villians dislike each other, so Hades could have gone under disguise to have a kid with someone he may have fell in love with, but it did not workout. So that may be why Maleficent thinks Mals dad was a weak human, and she had no clue he was actually a god. Btw its confirmed that hades is mals father!

Also malificent was protecting originally kindof manipulating Aurora but turned to be really fond of her she was the actual love that woke her up not the prince i believe. She was even trying to get her to wake up thinking leading the prince to her would help

@Citlaly Gonzalez - What in the world, where do you get your information? -She protected the Moors, not the world as a child and forth.. Even when evil, she still protected the Moors from humans since they wanted the Moors treasures. -Flora, Fauna and Merryweather was born in the Moors (they were Moorfolk Fairies) in Maleficent movie, they had different names but still were part of the same location. -King Stefan who is Aurora's father is the one who cut off Maleficent's wings, after the king he was working for (Aurora's MOTHERS FATHER) demanded that whoever killed Maleficent will become king as part of his dying wish, not cut her wings off (Stefan did that so he didn't have to kill her, where she would live so he just cut her wings as proof for the king). She hated Aurora because she was Stefan's daughter and Stefan betrayed Maleficent by cutting her wings off and he "faked" his love for her (even though he sorta showed her mercy as she slept). She started to care for Aurora in the end of Maleficent movie and tried to even remove her curse, she then had Philip (Who DID NOT cut off Maleficent's wings) to go save Aurora from her own curse! Not that major misinformation you mentioned

Her hair color says a lot. The first movie it was more straight purple, in the Wicked song daydream her hair is much more of a blue toned violet. In the second movie it was more of a raspberry pink/purple, maybe her Aurodon influence coming through with the pink. It looks like in the third movie her hair is much more of a blue toned purple. Evie's hair stays pretty much the same tone of blue.

This my own personal theory on Mal's Father, if you've seen the movie "Maleficent", Maleficent was a fairy and fell in love with King Stefan when she was young. Young King Stefan cared deeply for Maleficent.They kinda became a couple, but when they grew up things started to change. Maleficent became jealous and became bitter, too. Yet, she envy's not being invited to Aurora's christening, even when her and King Stefan were close friends before. My theory is that whatever happened after Aurora lived happily ever after and became when Aurora became queen, King Stefan and Maleficent have probably seen each other and may have had a child. Plus, King Stefan is a human and may have be called, " A Weak Human" by Maleficent. Which will make sense that why Mal has both a bad and good heart, and cares for people she loves. This is just a theory :)

I think that malificent lied to mal about her dad being a weak human because malificent wants her image to be as the most powerfull who has ever lived but hades is a god so his more powerfull and even if he wasnt he is a god he is emortal he will live on but malifacent will die and then he will be the most powerfull

TBH the second film was published in August 20,2017 it was near my b-day so it wasn't considered as July and that this summer they might release it earlier than before

Maleficent got soooo ofended by not being invated to Auroras baptism becomes that its local gathering. She was the only one that wasn’t invited. That’s a deadly insult and imagine being the only one that wasn’t invited to a local party that EVERYONE was welcome. That doesn’t cover up what she did but I still get why she is upset about Mal not getting invited to Evies party. It’s not as offensive but still upsetting. I bet that party was huge with a lot of people invited sinne Evie was popular on the island at that time

Quick point of order about Uma and Mal's backstory, for anyone who wants to read it for themselves, it's actually in book 3 of the series, not book 1. Uma doesn't even appear until book 3.
