I’ll be brave enough to say what might be a minority opinion: I’m loving the Ixalan drafts. More than Vintage Cube, in fact! Cube content is fun, but there’s really nothing like exploring a brand new, totally fresh Limited environment.

Seconded! I know the Cube is popular and I expect it to continue, but I honestly find it super boring and it's nice to get a bit more variety.

That last game was classic, drawing the 2/5 immediately when you mentioned you'd probably draw it instead of the 3-drop, and then getting beaten down by two of the 3-drop you cut for it that were insane for the opponent. Not saying it was a bad decision but the universe really likes the rub-ins sometimes doesn't it?

Am I wrong to think someone passing Stalactite Stalker for (what think is at least) a common is insane? What common in the set is better than an evasive 1 mana 1/1 that grows and can turn into removal? edit: referring to pack 1

That equipment is bonkers in the right deck. I played it in a blue red deck where I had the blue red pirate that gives counters when an artifact enters the battlefield. Add that with pic ax and go off. Making and sacrificing treasures and you make a monster real fast with vigilance

After years of being convinced Arena floods way too often for it being nothing but part of the algorithm I’ve started going 15 lands and it’s worked a treat. Still easily manage to get 3 lands on turn 3 and another three or four lands are not far behind. Highly recommend.
