I head into the mountainous desert enjoying a great trail ride on my Can-Am Outlander ATV. This is a beautiful and primitive canyon to explore and I cook up some breakfast using my firebox.

Thanks for watching my video and leaving a comment. To share these areas and experience them with others is a fun thing to do. Unfortunately, I am the only one in my network of friends who has an ATV and enjoys doing this type of adventuring. I have one friend who is highly interested, but he has not pulled the trigger on getting an ATV yet.

I was actually surprised that I didn't get poked by the cactus because there was so much of it in that little section. For a split moment I even thought, dang and a bear went through this to eat Pinon Nuts. I had a lot of fun capturing that fly around of that rocky ridge. Thanks for watching and your support James. I would love to ride down in the Las Cruces area. I just don't know of any trails out there since they are farther south of me. It's what has keep me exploring closer to home but I am ready to branch out. But you are right man, we have an awesome playground to check out. So many changing landscapes and mountains. Love the videos I have not been out on my wheeler in about 3 years, beside plowing my driveway in winter. No I get up go for a ride heat up some coffee and enjoy the start of a day. Thanks for the motivation Manzanoman

I will tell you what brother. The road into this area has changed big time over the years. I can remember being able to drive into this place with a vehicle, not no more. We'll have to get back in there and do a camping trip. I plan on doing it and filming a winter style camp. Coffee, breakfast, and drone flying is a great way to spend the morning.

After I watched this one, I went out snowplowing in the blizzard whiteout condition we have here now, with really much snow. Just finished editing that video. Another excellent video! You are making the thought of moving to N.M. a LOT easier! One of our favorite places to ride is the Black Hills in S.D. and the terrain here is a lot like there. Thanks again for the videos!

14:18, I thought you were about to pick up crap, didn't realize until you held it to the camera it was a pine cone, haha. I did try the DeSmet whole milk, and it was awesome! Too bad it's $8/half gallon here in SF. An "every once in a while" treat. I have to admit, I'm not a flavored coffee guy, but I have a soft spot in my heart for that New Mexico Piñon Coffee.

Lol, I can totally see what you mean buy about to pick up crap haha. It does appear that way for a moment. Holy cow, 8 dollars. I get it from the dairy itself for 5 dollars so I am guessing they charge an extra 3 bucks for logistics cost. That is wild. Even 5 for a half gallon is pricey, but you are right, it is a treat type of milk. The New Mexico Pinon Coffee is pretty dang good coffee. I plan on buying that in the near future and talk about it on one of my videos. Thanks for watching buddy.

That was a relatively quick 40 minutes ! Enjoyed it . The new camera makes you feel like your their crystal clear money well spent ! I like the trail to bummer you couldn’t go farther but that’s how it always is . You start out for ... Destiination A and end up in B . Oh yeah I love the way you Tenderize your meat by throwing it down on the ground . Can’t beat that taste though . Glad you’re back Hope you had a nice holiday 👋

I agree with you that the camera investments have paid off and that it is money well spent. I love how stable the GoPro Hero 8 is over my older GoPro. I would have loved to make it all the way out to my farthest point near the Desert Big Horn sheep to have a look at them on the rocky ridges. I could not believe I had that awesome steak slip right off my knife. All it does is offer more flavor, you know? Hehe. I thought I would keep those couple blooper reels because as a creator we tend to not focus on errors hehe. But it was delicious and I enjoyed washing it down with a awesome cup of coffee at the end. Great job! The video quality is really good with the new gear and it is hard to put into words but the high desert mountain areas are crazy cool because you not only get the views but the smells. Keep up the great work!

We are pretty fortunate to have different riding zones in each quadrant of New Mexico. I love the desert scene just as much as the mountain scene. The new camera upgrades were much needed. It becomes a hobby to get out and film, its just to bad the real feel can't be expressed through the smell coming off the trees. I hope you enjoyed the cold blast we just got. Another great video and looks like you bought well with the camera. I finally made it to the Pecos Wilderness and Santa Fe Forrest. I was right in the snow you were talking about, it was really wild for September. I had steak as well but my coffee was Folgers, it all tasted great in the mountains. Just did day hikes from my camp where I parked but was able to get pretty isolated. Didn't get ro see everything I wanted so will have to return. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to next video.

I am so happy for you to have made it out to the Pecos Wilderness. Unfortunately my planned trip into the Pecos Wilderness was cut short due to my hiking buddy developing 2 blisters on each foot. We only made in about 2 miles and his blisters were growing fast. We decided it wasn't a good idea to continue and although he told me to continue, it would have not settled well with me to leave him behind. What area did you visit? I can imagine the steak and coffee in a snowy wilderness came in great as it was cold for a few days. If you have pictures of your trip on social media I would love to have a look at them. I am glad you had a safe trip. I hope to make it out there sometime this fall to get in a 2 night trip at minimal.

Bummer that your trip got cut short, I've had problems with my feet before and it ain't fun. Gotta have good footwear and tough feet sure doesn't hurt. I stayed mostly north of Mora on 518. Camped several different places on fs roads. Took fs 76 from 518 to 434 which I probably wouldn't do again in a 2wd, at least not one I liked. Wound up camping on fs 76 but on another day, the day I drove through the weather was snowy come evening. Haven't been doing social but probably should to network a bit better

It sounds like you visited some awesome places while visiting. I agree with you that wrong footwear can make a difference in your ability to hike. I would love to hike and backpack out toward the Mora Flats area and see the Pecos Wilderness from a different perspective. I am glad you were able to make it out and had a chance to experience some snow and mountains. Take care.
