Just went here from Garand Thumb's video and the Desert Eagle actually passed the mud test. Seems like the issue here was just you trying to manually chamber a round, which allowed mud to get into the action. When firing, the gasses and force blow any debris out of the way so it can continue running.

Its those slits on the side that the slide locks into thats the problem, it cant lock back all the way because theres sand in the way

It’s a heavy gun. Helps a lot to control recoil. Especially since it’s a self loading action.
