Nice weapon there! Never seen one of these before now. I’m just a retired Army 11H/BB4 and I giggled a little when I saw the Leatherman Wave in your hand, most of my fellow NCO’s carried a Wave while deployed to Iraq in 2003-04 (myself included) and the Iraqis kept trying to get it from me or trading something for it but I wasn’t interested in a goat, lol. Life would’ve been a lot slower without the Wave, we got those Gerber multi tools from S4 but nobody liked them, pain in the ass to get the thing open for a blade. You did a great job in this video, you sound confident and well focused, I didn’t detect any nervousness and I commend you at not using “filler words” when you forget something and fill it in with; “uhhhh” or “ummmmm”, etc.

is the grip not removable? I am pretty sure its going to get banged up with use so i would like to see this in a future revision if its possible

It's removeable..but not compatible with anything... Grip is one of the few places on all of my rifles that takes no damage.

@@elterga6224not missed, a deliberate design choice. The CEO has stated multiple times he hates AR grips. Why? I don't know and I certainly do not agree with him like many others. There's nothing wrong with them. It could have been a good selling point. The rifle is already different enough as it is. The last thing you want is more friction when you are trying to get people to adopt them. Not using AR pistol grips creates unnecessary friction especially since it is based off a personal bias and not a logical reason. The FAB gradius works with it if you do some very minor shaving on it. That is the only AR pistol grips that can to my knowledge pretty much bolt on with no or minor modifications. I'm going to give a swing at some point down the road with a Magpul grips to see if I can modify it enough to get it to work.

Did you guys fix the mag release breaking issue? Both the spring and lever* seem not to be of the best materials. Also, I feel like guides for the bcg should be steel not aluminum.. maybe stamped steel with indentations to guide??

We have a steel insert to ensure the Cam wear. All AR’s ride on aluminum walls and they don’t have a steel insert like ours. 👍🏻

@@DesertTechUT I thought the Wolverine didn't have the steel insert-? But I really wanted to know about the manufacturing processes for the bolt, springs and other small parts like the mag release (and its components). The metallurgy of the components is my primary concern with this product and I believe it is the same for many others because of the countless chips on the bolt lugs, broken springs (mostly the mage release springs) and bolts/screws.

I ordered mine on March 8th. I initially ordered the WLVRN in 16” 308 along with additional 16” in 556 barrel, bolt setup. The scope I ordered was sent immediately but still no rifle. I was promised regular updates but crickets. I was told there was a barrel shipping delay and the 5.56 barrels would be in two weeks ago with the .308 barrels coming in first part of June. I was told I would be a top priority but still no rifle. Very frustrating since I paid for everything in full at time of order….

We had an issue with a batch of 308 barrels that required us to return them to our supplier and get new ones. We apologize for the delay we expect to ship a significant amount of WLVRN’s this month.

The handguard mount does not look reliable and flimsy. It may only seem like it, but screws for attaching the handguard are not the best choice. IMHO

@@SpectralComposites I didn’t write about the M-Lock system, but it could have been more reliable. For example, how Zenit does it with additional guides. I wrote that I am confused by the attachment point of the forend with minimal separation of the axes with a large offset of the lever of the forend itself. For a similar handguard in terms of mounts on the HK G36, this spacing is about 5" plus the maximum spacing in the height of the mounts, and the length is much shorter.

From experience with their gen 2 (MDRX), it is not great. I had pretty bad shifts in their Reflex handguard just from putting it in a soft case, then under the weight of another soft case with a rifle. It's held in place by friction and the polymer material of the handguard can only apply so much pressure in that joint, so its prone to shifting. I didn't have much issue with the original handguard, since its smaller size makes it less prone to bumping/pressing on things and has a much lower moment arm on the mount. The alx and mantis aluminum handguards have been solid though, as the metal interface can be torqued down tight enough to hold position. They still shift pretty badly every time theyre reinstalled however, since there is no indexing system.

Yeah, weight makes no difference for me, I feel like they just made it cheaper to manufacture-even if it is more accurate. .5 moa makes no difference for me for .308. 6.5 guys are just nerds, no realistic benefit from that round and it's ballistics
