Shri Gopalbhai Sutaria is the founder of Bansi Gir Gaushala. Gopalbhai was born in 1977 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Under the influence of his spiritual master Guruji Shri Paramhans Hansanandteerth Dandiswami, since early in his life, he was keen to spend a life serving the nation and humanity. In adulthood, he successfully took over the family business in Mumbai, but his childhood dream kept coming back to him. During this time, he conceived a plan to establish a Gaushala and undertake Gaukrushi (Gaumata based agriculture). He moved to Ahmedabad in 2006 and established the Bansi Gir Gaushala. He studied various aspects of the 18 Gotras (closest word in English being “lineage”) of Gir Gaumata’s, and gathered them at the Gaushala.
Today, Bansi Gir Gaushala is blessed with over 700 Gaumata’s and Nandi’s of the Gir variety. Under Gopalbhai’s leadership, the Gaushala in its scope and function has gone much beyond being a centre of excellence in Gopalan. The Gaushala is breaking new ground and developing novel formulations in Ayurveda, introducing new practices in organic farming and making concerted efforts at reviving ancient Bharatiya system of education.
Every year hundreds including Gaumata devotees, saints, Ayurveda experts, the general public and people working in the field of Gopalan and agriculture visit the Gaushala to learn from Gopalbhai or share their expertise. He strongly believes that farmers in Bharat can regain their health and prosperity by adopting indigenous Gaumata breeds and raising them ethically using the ancient Bharatiya practice of “Dohan”. He continues to work towards reviving ancient Bharatiya Vedic culture, traditions and spiritual practices.
गिर गौशाला के संस्थापक श्री गोपालभाई सुतारिया हैं। गोपालभाई का जन्म 1977 में गुजरात के भावनगर में हुआ था। अपने आध्यात्मिक गुरु गुरुजी श्री परमहंस हंसानंदतीर्थ दंडीस्वामी के प्रभाव में, वे अपने जीवन के शुरुआती दिनों से ही राष्ट्र और मानवता की सेवा करने के लिए जीवन व्यतीत करने के इच्छुक थे। वयस्कता में, उन्होंने मुंबई में पारिवारिक व्यवसाय को सफलतापूर्वक संभाला, लेकिन उनका बचपन का सपना उनके पास वापस आता रहा। इस समय के दौरान, उन्होंने एक गौशाला स्थापित करने और गौकृषि (गौमाता आधारित कृषि) शुरू करने की योजना की कल्पना की। वह 2006 में अहमदाबाद चले गए और बंसी गिर गौशाला की स्थापना की। उन्होंने गिर गौमाता के 18 गोत्रों (अंग्रेजी में "वंश" के रूप में निकटतम शब्द) के विभिन्न पहलुओं का अध्ययन किया और उन्हें गौशाला में इकट्ठा किया।
आज बंसी गिर गौशाला में 700 से अधिक गौमाता और गिर किस्म के नंदी हैं। गोपालभाई के नेतृत्व में, गौशाला अपने कार्यक्षेत्र और कार्य में गोपालन में उत्कृष्टता केंद्र होने से बहुत आगे निकल गई है। गौशाला नई जमीन को तोड़ रही है और आयुर्वेद में नए फॉर्मूलेशन विकसित कर रही है, जैविक खेती में नई प्रथाओं को पेश कर रही है और प्राचीन भारतीय शिक्षा प्रणाली को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए ठोस प्रयास कर रही है।
हर साल गौमाता भक्त, संत, आयुर्वेद विशेषज्ञ, आम जनता और गोपालन और कृषि के क्षेत्र में काम करने वाले लोग गोपालभाई से सीखने या अपनी विशेषज्ञता साझा करने के लिए गौशाला जाते हैं। उनका दृढ़ विश्वास है कि भारत में किसान स्वदेशी गौमाता नस्लों को अपनाकर और "दोहन" की प्राचीन भारतीय प्रथा का उपयोग करके उन्हें नैतिक रूप से बढ़ाकर अपने स्वास्थ्य और समृद्धि को पुनः प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। वह प्राचीन भारतीय वैदिक संस्कृति, परंपराओं और आध्यात्मिक प्रथाओं को पुनर्जीवित करने की दिशा में काम करना जारी रखते हैं।
