you can find 1,000s of professional shapes and graphics / icons to use in your business designs and sell them for a profit using Canva pro. just simply download the images to your computer and import them into Affinity Publisher.

If you intend to send your designs to a professional printer, be sure to select the “Include Bleed” option in the export settings. To import your images from your computer into the picture frame tool: first select the picture frame, then choose the place image tool on the left toolbar menu no navigate to your hard drive. Helpful but what about the bleed on top? The bleed allow some margin of error when printing and cutting. There is a chance the pictures may show at the very top. The top of the white shape should also be extended to the bleed line.

You're completely right, Roy. That's something I would have paid a little more attention to if I intended to print this design and wasn't recording lol. Thank you for bringing that to my attention so hopefully other people don't make that mistake after reading your comment 🙂

Hi, thanks for another very informative tutorial. I didn’t however understand why you needed to remove the left and right hand borders of the centre rectangle when they were already in the bleed? Cheers

Hi Gary. It's just a precaution that I personally take when I design. If the blade misaligned during the cutting process, it could cut anywhere inside of that 3mm bleed and potentially show part of the border I removed. In most cases you would be safe to just leave the border in the bleed, but I just like to remove any part of the design that I know I don't want completely out of the canvas and bleed area. This isn't a step anybody else has to follow, it's just the way I work when designing 🙂
