Thank you, KZfaq for offering Sarah 101. I loved it then and love it now. I learn so much and so much of her designs have proven to be timeless. Even a lot her outfits are timeless. Jeans, boots, print blouse, and even her earrings. Go Sarah.

I actually like Sarah's style so much, it has alot of dimension I feel like the recent decor TV shows have had designers who work primarily with neutrals specific ally greys and with her and Tommy, they're very versatile in their design choices

I foresee problems with hauling food to that dining area across that zebra rug. It’s going to be covered with splats in sixth months. It’s very pretty, but why not reorient the design to put the dining nearer the kitchen?

Sarah's taste is impeccable. I love 99% of her redesigns. She's also calm, tactful and unflappable. Like so many others, I wish I could employ her to redesign my home. But living in California, that's a dream that's very unlikely to be realized.

All the furnishings are Danish modern, not easy to find- they were very lucky. I love Danish modern because it is so easy to clean, to reupholster, and light weight to move.

I really like the lightness and feeling of space in this design. It's an interesting floorplan that the kitchen and dining area are on opposite ends of the room, but Sarah and Tommy made it work.

I sold grasscloth as well as handmade papers, designer furniture and fabrics for showrooms in nyc. The wallpaper is not "askew". Dont buy products you dont understand. Stick to wayfair or magnolia home.

In the lightbox it should have smoke glass behind the photograph and the light behind that the smoke glass that way the lighting won't increase the highlights on the corners of the photo, how I know I am a professional photographer.

Overall, terrific re-envisioning of layout, making the space work much better. What I majorly don't like: the carpet. What I majorly like: transparent stair guard, grasscloth wall. Also like: lightbox with enlarged photo taken by client, toy storage, vintage chairs.

I think the dining room needed to be right near the kitchen. Then the living room could have taken up the rest of the space with a cozy reading nook in the smaller area.

That mostly white area rug with a toddler? Won’t last long! I would have placed a small dining area adjacent to the kitchen, then a lovely living room area, then a cozy play nook at the end of the room for the toddler. Also, this design has too many busy, visually conflicting design elements. Makes it feel congested.

I feel that it is too busy with too many different patterns in such a small space. Also - too many Knick knacks for an energetic toddler. They won't be there for long or the child will have to be taught to be less outgoing.

Everything nice, possibly more refined grass cloth. Two large pictures instead of one big one over the sofa with colors to match the decor rather than orange and blue. The banquet is lovely. The wood shelves above the banquet with all the pieces are not my favorite. Something more sophisticated would be better. Maybe another photo instead or large cool art deco mirror.

Love the bankette but the round table tends towards being awkward for me. Not a fan of the artwork for the space, a mirror would have lightened the space a bit since it's so textured. Too many different patterns for such a small space. The shelving above the bankette was unnecessary and fights for attention with the light fixture. The pattern of the drapery is also a no. Love the colour scheme though

Grass cloth wallpaper is not child friendly; the “wall of furniture” claimed on. Also, grass cloth always has vertical stripes at the seams; find a really good faux painter.

love the living room but putting a dining table way on the opposite side of the kitchen is a fail when you have a toddler. Food WILL be spilled while being carried across that white rug. The Kitchen should be eat in, and there is NO play space for toddler?!! It should be where they moved the dining room. where is the kid's play space? You eliminated it. No parent is going to want that kid playing in that living room. It's chock full of Child injury potential. epic FAIL

4 chairs in the LR, 1 in the hall and 3 in DR, and 2 ottomans, plus sofa and banquet..just too much seating for that space. Why not use 2 chairs inDR, the 3rd chair replaces one in hallway , and reduce LR chairs to 2 vs 4. the ottomans are between the DR and LR, so their child doesn’t have a designated area that’s not in the way…you don’t need danish chairs and ottomans both as dividers, maybe the ottomans could replace the 2 chairs by the stairs in LR so child can be in full view when playing and have a bit of his own space, when child isn’t playing ottomans can be used as extra seating…the photo light box does look a bit tacky…and I’m not sold in the banquet, would have preferred a simple table, actually like the one they had.
