I have the green dial version of this one. Stunning bronze watch. Amazing quality for the money. Have the stainless version also. Bought the dark meteorite dial on leather. Bought the 904 steel bracelet for it. Wow! Impressed with the look and quality of the watch on the bracelet. Wise builds amazing watches for a reasonable price. Been tempted by the bronze case flyboy.

Very impressive

This is one of the best videos on the Wise bronze models because it shows how the watch patinas. Love it or hate it, a potential buyer must consider how the watch will evolve over time. You use a lot of cool video tricks. This video reminds me of those video shorts KZfaq is trying to make me click on. You know. The girls doing snap changes of outfits. Clever but a bit jarring. You have written of the worst metaphors I have ever heard. They are so bad, they are kinda charming. In a really terrible dad joke kinda way…

I have the black 904l SS AD8 as well. I can attest that the bezel get a little easier to rotate. Initially I was a little disappointed with how difficult it was to spin but after 2 months of ownership, it has broken in a tad and feels perfect. Thanks for the video!

I wish that dial and indizes on a none bronze model....perhaps a two tone.

It's a beautiful watch, and in my opinion looks best both on the cream strap presented in the video, and on the dark brown they have it on the photos on Wise's site. When I saw it, it immediately reminded me of Christopher Ward too, but I thought of the Twelve (the white dial version, with rose gold/white indices). It's definitely not a "copycat" , but the overall design is similarly impressive, while the watch itself is much more affordable. Love that dial texture, and the hour hand design is also something, that you don't see all that often in case of other brands (although it probably isn't to everybody's taste). I like how they handled bezel insert shade - it should match the watch case, whether it's covered with patine, or whether you decide to keep it clean and shiny - though I haven't seen it IRL, I'm just assuming it from the video. Now, I don't "hate" anything about this watch in particular, but as usual - I wish Wise would just replace the plain brand's name with their "W" logo (which is a minor concern anyway), and if I were to buy a Wise watch right now, I think I'd rather first choose one like AD851A (dark red/fume dial, on a bracelet), because it's in "oystersteel", while being even cheaper. Not, that the price is the most important factor - one can always save for their "grail" watch, but it undoubtedly IS a concern, since you have to be reasonable with your personal budget. So, I'd probably go with a cheaper model, built with superior material...😁 I'm still missing an "all-bronze-case" dive watch in my collection, and I was thinking about some of the Vostok Europe models, but they're HUGE, so that one can always be an alternative. In my opinion, one can get away with oversized watch, if it's a G-Shock ( because it's basically a G-Shock "thing", they're SUPPOSED to look big, hefty and rough), but it's a problem, if you want to wear anything else... Unlike many other people, I don't think Vostok Europe's bronze watches are "fugly" (well, not all of them are), but they're still too massive for my average sized wrist, so...yeah.

I just can't quite embrace the idea of fast uncontrolled patination of watches that look gorgeous new out of the box. This is nonetheless one of the more attractive bronze case examples in my opinion. I love the silken lustre effect of the dial pattern on this white. The brown softens it up, and I would certainly suggest to stick with Wise's stock straps in this instance! Since divers aren't my genre, I find the bezels on the AD8 series too present and sporty faced head on, while I like the aesthetics of the subtle knurling against the long curve of the slim case. It remains one of those divers that begs me to try again with this genre of watch and this variant is particularly attractive.
