The vegetable oil is only to make the gold paint to paint over the chocolate drips. The drip itself is just chocolate.

I used regular sunflower oil... Some places, you can find rose oil which will give a nice aroma...

Hi... I just use a regular brush from the stationary store... Find one that you feel comfortable with, brands don't matter.... I used sunflower oil in the video... You cann use any odorless oils or oil based extracts...

I used sunflower oil... You can use vegetable oil or canola oil as well... Any edible oil that doesn't have a strong smell or taste will work...

Maybe your microwave was set at high, or it was heated for too long.... Try 10 second bursts while mixing in between...

Only of the difference between your fridge and your room is drastically different, will you have condensation ... The drip consistency is constant... It won't soften...

If you use an odorless, tasteless oil like sunflower or canola oil, you wouldn't notice any taste 💕

Any oil that doesnt have a smell and that wont solidify at room temperature will work just fine.. I used sunflower oil...

Yes you can but the result will be a darker shade of gold and it may be harder to get full coverage compared to white chocolate, which is more forgiving...

Chill the buttercream cake and then paint with the mixture... Just make sure your room is cold or the cake could form condensation and ruin the look...

As long as the drip forms a film, you shouldn't have any problems painting it... If the drip is too soft after setting, the paintbrush can leave dents on it...

Will it fade after i take it out from the fridge, because of course it will be delivered the next day? I will box the cake first then put it inside the fridge. Will the gold drip fade, fail or sweat? Because this is the best gold drip tutorial i ever watched honestly

The oil doesn't dry, which means the gold stays brilliant even after a day, take precautions to avoid condensation like every other cake. No drastic temperature differences. The drip stays intact 💕

As mentioned in the video, you can drip along the sides for cream cakes, not the top, as it's pure chocolate, they will break apart while cutting... If you cover the top, your cake will collapse while trying to cut through the slab of chocolate

Oil doesn't dry, which is why it gives that shine.... If you want it to dry, you need to use alcohol, evaporex or essence, not oil...

Not required... Tempered or compound chocolate will set within 15 to 20 seconds once it's on the cake at room temp...
