We get a TON of questions about specific devices or strategies for ventilating homes, and for us, all that's needed is a more fundamental understanding of the invisible dynamics these devices create. In ten minutes, we lay out the basics for grasping WHAT you can influence in homes, WHY you'd want to, and HOW exactly to do it. Another great video buddy. I'm super glad that you are doing these. I've got building tight figured out. But maintaining healthy IAQ and proper ventilation still worries. I keep learning with each video you put out. Love it.

Great video, Corbett. Would love a deep dive in your comments around the necessity of ERV and it’s implications on other units, like bath fans.

I have upgraded my 1994 house with Awair air monitors on each level that talks to my ecobee thermostat. If Co2 dust or chemicals get to high it turns on the furnace recirculating fan pulling fresh air in from the furnace fresh air duct. I was amazed at how quickly the Co2 rises with our gas stove. So it solved that problem until our induction electric range is installed.

great video - thank you for putting it together. What do you recommend for filtration when installing a ducted system? This question applies to both the ERV and the air handler. Thank you for your time.

I really like that control unit, and its very well priced if what I’m finding is accurate. I also see that it can handle zoning of the HVAC? I checked into the price of the radiant system I like, and had a small heart attack at the number. This, a full set of their equipment and one of those small duct high velocity HVAC systems is looking like a much more realistic and reasonable setup.

Would you happen to have a video talking about the best termite control measure for a new build that does not affect indoor air quality? right now looking at termimesh physical barrier approach ($$$, not a lot of backed up research or real-time experience), Centricon bait stations around the perimeter of the home (scary that they attract the termites to come to close to ur home and what if it fails), or the pre- and post-treatment of bifenthrin (which is a potential carcinogen but i was told by the vendors that under a slab on grade foundation plus poly liner there won’t be a need to be concerned about offgassing to the inside of the house - though in my opinion it may still offgas)…please help steer me in the right direction. Will be doing Boracare treatment on the the structural wall studs fyi
