I may be a LEGO purist but honestly, the end result looks way too good for me to get upset at you for destroying a vintage LEGO piece.

This looks like the courier Helmet, could you make the courier from fallout using that same piece again?

Highly advise using an airbrush or rattle can over the brush, a lot of detail was lost with the brush as the coats are a bit too thick

came out great! highly recommend thinning your paints tho! might take a few more coats but it'll get rid of the brush strokes! either thin with a paint thinner or just water does the trick for most acrylic paints! great work!

I actually like the AIM operator rebreather collar mixed with the wave power miner helmet with visor combo for a modless version. Dark tropper helmets also work great for an advanced power armor helmet for those looking to make a minifig scale frank hrodigan

Adding another stud at the back to add a back light might be a good addition

so for painting legos oftentimes it can be more effective to spray it on with an airbrush, however these are pretty expensive and for having to paint it, it actually looks VERY solid. incredible keep it up

Adding a layer of spray primer would be a good idea in future, gives the paint a better surface to adhere to, meaning less layers are needed

Ngl when i went and made my own i used savage oppress's chest armor and a shadow trooper helmet with ultron drone body and shadow trooper legs, the space marine chest armor from lego cmf works too!

Ive always thought with the old OG clone helmets you could add some thin plastic cut outs on the inside with glue so the visor would be covered but you can add any minifigure head you want

I really advice using a spray paint rather than brush. You'll get a really clean finish and with a sprayed gloss varnish to finish you'll get a perfect plastic look

Make sure to use a respirator when sanding or cutting plastic. As someone who collects warhammer minis and assembles them the air can get insanely dusty after a few hours of assembling minis.

Should use the galaxy squad green robot head piece next

Might wanna try taking of the "nipple/bobble" part where it says lego with sandpaper.. And than scratch some lines in that place and color in those markings

Definitely is better than the other two maybe you could 3-D print out some stuff if you have a 3-D printer for the helmet like some lights and stuff that you can glue on and paint and maybe I know this isn’t necessary put in a visor in the helmet itself so just in case you want to use a normal head, you can put the helmet on anyways and it will look good I mean, even though if the 3-D printed pieces aren’t like actual Lego pieces it’s your own type of power armour so it’s your choice

If you want a more accurate shape, use the Ninjago scuba gear mouth accessory cut and painted. Comes in black by default.

Tbf, i feel like combinging the mouthpiece of the scuba helmet thing in the first design with the modified helmet would probably work really well.

Crocodile clips will actually be better for painting, and consider sprays, you can spray the parts separately.

the stud is a little large and sets off the proportions of the helmet, that's my only gripe, if a smaller alternative suits the stud's place that would be an awesome helmet.
