Hey mate, I have a favour to ask. a LOT of my Turkish students use your tutorial to model a house and make the same mistakes you do. - You do not use groups and components. The model is useless as everything is just a one object and can't be adjusted - You don't work to scale. Just draw in random size elements like doors and windows instead of checking that - You don't have thickness in any object. Walls are single face, roof and everything else as well. Could you PLEASE add a comment or something explaining that? I had to fail sooo many of them because of you :( Thanks

Hey again mate, thanks for asking, and I feel sorry for your students because of this video. This simple house tutorial is a BASIC technique for drawing the SHAPE of a house ONLY, without dimensions and thickness, groups, etc. as you have mentioned. My mistake was not mentioned earlier in this video. As a teacher, you should have the ability to direct your students to which sources are appropriate for the lessons you are teaching, and not blame this channel for the mistakes your students make.

@@ekojspI pointed them to resources on KZfaq, showed everything live a few times, and asked for questions. The problem is that doing things this way, although not right for what we were doing, was easier. The title was misleading enough to confuse them. That's why I reached out to the creator.

Assalamualaikum Pap Rendi, Sebelumnya saya ingin mendoakan Pap Rendi agar selalu sehat dan panjang umur serta mudah rezekinya, karena melalui chanel Pap Rendi ini kami yakin sekali banyak yang sangat terbantu dalam memahami ilmu program 3D ini, khususnya kami (saya dan 3 anak saya) pemula yang agak bingung untuk mengikuti tutorial dari Tutor lain. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. it was very helpful and I was able to design the house. There were a couple of parts of the video that were a bit fast and I had to go over them parts a few times, but using this video still took me way less time than teaching myself from scratch would have done so thank you.

Sorry mate I'm having problems on moving my apex point to get the roof shape....upon moving it stays on a straight path and does not follow the point at the end of the line

@@PapRendi siap dilanjutkan😊mas, kalo ada waktu boleh dong buatin tutor bikin rumah sederhana biar kecil aja ukurannya misal 6x6/ atau 6x9. Tutor modellingnya, bikin denahnya, bikin gambar tekniknya sprti real project utk tukangnya, Trus ngitung RAB nya juga, rendering exteriornya juga. Biar ber part part videonya gak papa😊mf kalo kbnyakan req🙏soalnya pengen banget bisa hal hal d atas, minimal utk nanti bikin desain utk rmh sendiri😊

at 2:33 u mentioned "...and snap first on edge move it down purple color"...i can't make it purple both lines.. how u did making purple both lines?

Try to snap for about 3 seconds then move it down until turns into purple, hope it works. Sorry for the late response🙏

Sir, it seems that it has already a hollow inside the house even though we didnt use any command to create that. Is it automatic to have a hollow if you create the translucent glass?

Yes, it only changes the material to translucent glass and it automatically looks hollow. Or you can delete the face to make it hollow.

The purple color is only for the guide, which means the line is parallel /perpendicular to another, then when clicked it will turn black. i'm so sorry for the late response🙏

Until now, both offline and online versions of SketchUp can only create models or geometry, including lamp models, but have no lighting effects, only have sun and shadow effects. You have to integrate using other rendering software like vray, enscape, lumion and so on... Maybe in the next update they can develop this feature☺

You can try sketchup web version www.sketchup.com/products/sketchup-for-web then choose Start Modeling, but you need to signup and it doesn't need to install to the computer. or you can try the older sketchup pro help.sketchup.com/en/downloading-older-versions hope this helps🙏
