Lose collars, and plate rattling is a big issue. Not a safety concern, that's right because the collar has to rotate till the edge to get removed, but it has a huge disadvantage to the user. He may loses his confidence between the set, and put down the dumbbell to again tighen the collars and again the same thing happens. Big turn off. Leeway should add a 1 rs rubber in collars, maybe it solves the problem.

No that doesn’t help, I’ve tried it. With metal locks this rattling issue will remain, I don’t think there’s any good way to fix it. Mine don’t get loose all the time if you tighten them sufficiently, 3/10 times I face the rattling issue rest of the times it stays tight

@@DesiGymReviews i have also ordered them... Whenever I hold the dumbbell rod tightly which I should... In the downward motion the plate revolves and opens the collars. This incident happened to me 10/10 times... No matter how tight I screw the collars.

@@MensquatsGymReviews doesn’t happen to me all the time, I do pullovers with them all the time. Happens sometimes in movements like curls where the dumbbell is rotating but in exercises where it is static like dumbbell presses, it doesn’t happen that much again

Can you use the PVC 1,2,3 kg plates with these for progressive overload? I already own those and was thinking about buying 40/50 kg of these dumbbells and using them together

Yeah you can but it would increase the thickness significantly as pvc weights are very thick. You should get micro steel plates from them only, they have as low as 1kg plates

Is the weight calibrated ? what is the margin of error. honestly, I find this kind of locking system pain in the ass. Constantly screwing and unscrewing after each set and then have to remove all of the plates. They should have easy locking system. Almost nobody needs 99 lb. dumbbells. People better off buying proper barbell & plates at that point. But hard to complain since they are extremely cheap.

Yes spin lock system is annoying and takes long to adjust and I don’t think the weights are calibrated but are accurate enough
