In this video we are going at the top of Europe which is Jungfraujoch Switzerland. We took a train for Jungfrau ( or Jungfraujoch) from Interlaken East. The train journey and Gondola was amazing. The landscape was serene and beautiful. It was once in a lifetime experience. It is a must visit if you visit Switzerland.
The Jungfraujoch (German: lit. "maiden saddle") is a saddle connecting two major 4000ers of the Bernese Alps: the Jungfrau and the Mönch. It lies at an elevation of 3,463 metres (11,362 ft) above sea level and is directly overlooked by the rocky prominence of the Sphinx. The Jungfraujoch is a glacier saddle, on the upper snows of the Aletsch Glacier, and part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch area, situated on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais, halfway between Interlaken and Fiesch.
Since 1912, the Jungfraujoch has been accessible to tourists by the Jungfrau line, a railway from Interlaken and Kleine Scheidegg, running partly underground through a tunnel through the Eiger and Mönch. The Jungfraujoch railway station, at an elevation of 3,454 metres (11,332 ft) is the highest in Europe. It lies east of the saddle, below the Sphinx station, and is connected to the Top of Europe building, which includes several panoramic restaurants, shops, exhibitions, and a post office. Several tunnels lead outside, where secured hiking trails on the crevassed glacier can be followed, in particular to the Mönchsjoch Hut. The normal route to the Jungfrau and Mönch starts from there.
The Sphinx Observatory, one of the highest astronomical observatories in the world, provides an additional viewing platform at a height of 3,572 metres (11,719 ft), the second-highest in Switzerland. It can be reached by an elevator from the Jungfraujoch. The observatory houses one of the Global Atmosphere Watch's atmospheric research stations. The Jungfraujoch radio relay station, which is not accessible to the public, is installed west of the Jungfraujoch, on the Jungfrau ridge. It is Europe's highest radio relay station.

I really like ur videos with so many information. I would like to know Where & how advance should I buy the Jungfrauch tickets (Round trip)? if i buy online do I need to reserve seats in that Eiger express & Cogwheel train? Particular in this video u took different routes for up & down, for that is that same ticket or different ticket has to buy? Is it possible to complete Jungfrauch & lauterbrunen in same day?

Ht of kanchanjunga is 28170 feet, that of Mt. K2 is 28250 feet and that of Mt. Everest is 29030 feet..... which are way higher than these Alps's peaks ...... India and Nepal should also do something like this...... We also have Kashmir, Himachal, Uttrakhand and Himalayas.......

hello, i saw your videos, planning my europe trip, i have few ques. i am planning to purchase eurorail global pass as we shall be covering many other countries as well. as i can check barnese oberlan is not covered under eurorail pass.. i dont want to go to Jungfrau as we shall be covering Mt Titlis just want to cover lauterbrunnen and grindelwald from Interlaken. how can we travel. can we buy 1 day swiss pass or shall we go for point to point ticket. or can we get some discounted tickets with eurorail pass? what routing should i follow. thanks in advance

IMO Titlis is almost same as this one ( much less expensive than this ) Is Jungfraujoch worth so much money ? I have my doubts . Swiss Govt has marketed this place so well that once you are in Switzerland you will feel as if your Swiss tour is wasted if you dont visit this place. But I guess there are other options which are similar in exp to this....If seeing glacier and snow is what you want then whats wrong with Titlis and Matterhorn ? .......Both are fantastic options but way cheaper

Thank you 😊 we went in August. With swiss pass you can go till the bottom of mountain. From there you have to buy separate ticket as explained in video. You will get discount on the special ticket if you already have swiss pass👍

We did Iin august.. may to Sept is good to visit.. August is peak.. but obviously there's no guarantee as clouds can come anytime so better to check webcams on day.. as mentioned in video . 🙂😊

Getting the option to book only round trips to and from Jungfraujoch on the Jungfraujoch website. Can you please clarify how we can book the route as you described in the video? Zurich -> Grindelwald -> Jungfraujoch -> Lauterbrunnen

You have to book one way tickets for that online.. Or you can also but ticket at station like we did..

Would suggest to buy tickt at the counter as we did. You can buy one day before or same day as well. 🙂👍

You have to book it one way at a time.. Or better to book at sbb office when you are here that is also fine as we did 😀 that way u can chek weather and book

I admire your vlogs. You don't need a travel guide. I have a question about the ice palace. Is it slippery there? Is it possible to go with sports shoes? can you avoid the ice palace and go straight to the Lindt factory?

When in snow its better to have some thick sole shoe. With sport shoe u have to be very careful as they slips. 🙂
