I don't have locs but this is really making me curious as to if I want to. You make it seem worth the transition
@johannabrolin49953 жыл бұрын
It's worth it. I'm in month 7. baby locs, the patient stage - which lasts 28 months. And even at his stage I'm beginning to realize my parents should've loc'd my hair when I turned 9 or 10 years old. For me, suddenly all my dandruff is gone. No more flakes. When I dont't stye it and leave it to just hang (my longest is 8 inches and the average is 6 inches) I feel zero itch. I calp every 3 days with non-greasy oil which is not expensive at all. I believe 100% that locs best way show our unique African hair with little to no maintenance cost when you learn what shes doing.

Thank you so much for this video! You helped me retwist my locs on my own successfully! 😄

I have starter locs and attempted my first retwist today since it does not appear that I will be able to get to my stylist for a while. This was very helpful it then again all your videos are.
@johannabrolin49953 жыл бұрын
Month 7 here. I'm already loving it. The flakes and dandruff I used to have when I braided or went natural have all disappeared. ZERO ITCH when I leave my locs hang free. The longest is 8 inches, shortest is 6 inches, I started with probably 1.5 - 2 inches. Virgin hair fertilizer seems to work for me with ZERO flakes and greasiness.

Awesome !!!! 👏🏾 I needed this video. With this Quarantine I’ve been back and forth with my thoughts of “should I try to retwist my own hair or wait it out until I get back in a Salon?” Ugh 😩 the struggle is Really Real!!! I know nothing about hair or locs but I’m getting desperate! Thanks for the video Desiree!! ❤️

So pretty. I have yet to do a twist or braid out on my locs. Granted, I’m only 13 1/2 mths in with thick locs. I want to grow them out a little more before I do it. It’s already sitting on my shoulders like a bob so hopefully it won’t be too long. Either way, I enjoyed you doing yours! Take care beautiful.

Thank you so much. How long does it take the retwisted hair to lock, that is when would it be too soon to open the retwists to avoid loosening of the lock?

Hello, question I'm 2 months locked and I found out my hair stylist twisted a couple of my locs counter clockwise and not clockwise. I'm super nervous about doing my own hair but I feel like I should start. What should I do?

Sis, I hope you don't take this the wrong way- where are you going? Why not give your hair a break? All this manipulation will cause your hair to be damaged/break over time.

No Denise St. Juste, the better question is why You felt such a strong need to make this statement. The title of her video Clearly states why she made the video and Many of us are grateful for it. She knows Her hair and what her hair needs. End of conversation.
