The best thing to do is to pray to God for a spouse and let him lead the process. Trying to do things in our own strength usually doesn't lead to good results.

johns80schick Idleness isn’t biblical either. There is nothing wrong with pursuing a partner as long as it for the glory of God. There are examples in the bible where people pursued their spouses and were led by the holy spirit. Yes, we trust God to give us wisdom when we meet people and to know that if it’s not his will then it shouldn’t go far.

Are you married. Do you know how hard it is. Do you know how hard it is for a woman . You say it like God just gives us spouses and he is not giving them to everyone. He lets us find spouses.

I realized that too, at least for me. Every attempt I made to date was shut down by God. Eventually I had to surrender and accept that it’s not the place God has for me right now and that’s okay. It’s hard to accept but he knows best and there’s some peace to leaving it in his hands after dealing with so much nonsense.

God expects us to do our part too. Can't just pray that the future spouse will come knocking on our door...."Wow, that was easy!"

This is so timely for me personally. Thank you Pastor for validating my conviction in refusing to settle for anything less than a MAN OF GOD who will lead me and our future family in Christ. I'm in my early 30s (spent most of my 20s in a serious relationship that didn't work out), and although my heart and mind are ready for a serious relationship... dating/online dating has probably become my LEAST favorite thing to do in life. As a Christian woman, it's SO incredibly exhausting and frustrating attempting to find a man who shares my faith and lives up to (what I believe to be) SUPER MINIMAL, basic ass qualifications. 😂😭 I truly don't feel like I'm asking for much...and yet it's proven to be nearly impossible finding a man who meets such standards. Whew! Pray for me, y'all...😩😩😭🙏

I'm in the same predicament, i spent most of my 20s in a serious relationship which didn't work out and i thank God for that now as i wasn't saved during that period and i was with an unbeliever. I then went online, met a guy and spent my late 20 and very early 30s in another relationship. I got born again during this period and left the relationship which wasn't godly as i grew closer to God and i had a realisation that i was searching for love to make me complete and i can only find true wholeness in the Lord. Being single and growing in the Lord and serving him has bought me great joy. Looking back, i realise that i made poor decisions about mates due to being desperate for love and anxious to get married. My decision to internet date was also due to the inability to cope with being single. I do not want to Internet date now although as a Christian woman in her late 30s i feel like lots of christian men in my age range are either married or hiding behind screens on dating sites wanting a buffett of women to choose from as opposed to striking up organic relationships and lack confidence to approach women...

You are right dear sister in Christ. So many so called ‘Christian men’ on dating sites do not have basic Christian values of ‘fleeing fornication’. From my experience, it’s a hard place to find a true purity- practicing male believer.

Are you really a Christian? Would a Christian use such a revealing profile picture? What is it you are trying to attract?
@adaliavasquez65523 жыл бұрын
I just feel weird about dating online. It feels as though you are shopping for a spouse. I feel that meeting people in person is much easier, since you get to know the whole person and not just their profile picture/texts. I've also had some somewhat unpleasant experiences on christian dating sites. I'm praying that God will bring the right man in person and I continue to put myself out there and seek first the Kingdom of God!
@Grokford Жыл бұрын
You do the same thing online as you do in person, the difference is that in real life you typically rule certain people out by default. You're still shopping but no one's put anything on display.

I absolutely agree w/ you ! I have tried dating apps in the past, before I got saved & it was never good. Now that I'm saved and walking in purity w/ the Lord, I am listening to the Holy Spirit and patiently waiting for my husband. I believe I will meet him in person, not off a dating app. God bless you ! Jesus is our first love & there's nothing like His love :)

@@ModelingTabi Thank you so much. All glory be to God. Thank you Jesus 💕 I have been single and walking in purity for 3 years now and this season of singleness has truly brought me closer to the Lord and I am content in whatever His plan is for me, whether it includes a husband or a lifetime of singleness; I strive to serve the Lord in all that I do! :) I attend Calvary Chapel. Sometimes, online dating may be the only option before single couples to pursue a Christian spouse. It can be nervewracking for many, but as long as your goal is to pursue the will of God and find someone who truly loves the Lord, He'll open the doors for you.

I'm 22 and tried online dating, never been in a relationship. Very skeptic about it & I made sure I put in my bio that I'm looking for a Godly man & that will lead to marriage. A guy wants to go on a date with me & we've talked about our faith. A part of me actually has peace to meet up with him but still am continually praying.

I think God can do anything, but most of the dating apps start with someone putting a little summary about themselves and then their most flattering pictures and so everything is based off of embellished visuals to begin with. It starts off unusual in my opinion oh, but God can turn anything around. I have a friend that is very dear to me and she informed me that she met her husband and she's sure he is her husband and they only met on a dating app and then met in person and then had a Bible study with his parents. That's it so far but she already says she believes that's her husband. I think she should give it more time and I don't trust it more because she met him on a dating site. Maybe I am old-fashioned and wrong. I'm just concerned. I'm happy for her if that's the guy.

When one partner has committed adultery and been abusive they have left the marriage how ever well they have covered it up the marriage vowels have been broken, it is also disloyalty to the Lord.,the innocent party is free to remarry
@TYGZus777 Жыл бұрын
The greater question to ask is: Is this person presenting their true self, or am I being shown a mask? Only time will tell. Be patient and watch. Get to know them and their family well. Also, watch for signs of abuse because physical, emotional, and mental abuse are NOT BIBLICAL. When they show you who they are, believe them the first time and stand firm.

Satan has taken control of this world. Especially in the young generations (teens thru 30s). If you don't believe me, just look at all the chaos going on currently and the majority of people causing it.
