Christian service of God has nothing to do with giving God something he NEEDS. Instead, it has everything to do with giving God something he WANTS, i.e., our devotion, love and obedience.

All these years of seeing scammers do this same method online and they still never manage to mimic or grasp how actual people sound if they truly are endorsing a product. Like these scammers never once had genuine human interaction before. Anyway, just ranting.

It was a joy listening to this good sir! I have been searching for ways to serve the good Lord but I’ve felt it hasn’t been enough. Not nearly enough for our great Lord Jesus esp after all He’s done for me and my family. I e felt compelled to do something great for Him to show my appreciation. But your video has shown me that I don’t HAVE to do GREAT big things. Even something as small as giving someone in need a cold glass of water can be enough. I still wish I could do more and indeed will keep my eyes open for other opportunities. But in the meantime, I can live with a little more contentment knowing even the little suffices for our loving Father. 🙏 🙏 🙏 praise the Lord!! Thanks again my brother. Much love. 🤝

When Jesus says in Mark 10:45 that he didn't come to be served but to serve, this doesn't mean that he doesn't want to be served by people. He is just making a comment on his purpose in coming to earth: to serve others. Whether we should serve Jesus is really a different issue. And, of course, the rest of the Bible makes it very clear both that we should serve him and that he wants us to do this.

It’s more than pleasing your spouse which the Bible says is a WORLDLY distraction. Single people are more devoted to serving God, but still treated like the less Holy Christians who need to be lectured about how everything, Instead of being acknowledged as Godly people who DO serve. Like married people are. It’s easier to serve your spouse which directly benefits YOU, than it is to serve strangers when you are a patient and lonely single person. Because single people ARE patient. They don’t need to be told to be patient by a married person - who married at 22. THAT is not patience

What I remember most about John is how arrogant he was with me when preaching at a school I attended. I simply wanted to greet him as no one else was around....and he glibly blew me off without even really acknowledging me, much less engaging me. No wonder he loves the idea of a wrathful arbitrary God so much. It befits the man I met far more than the one who speaks from a distance.

Sounds like you're wrestling with forgiveness friend. Have you thought of seeing the situation through 1 Cor 13 and assuming the best about his motives or intentions or that he in fact was not brushing you off but had something else happening in that moment? If you are a Christian, i encourage you to forgive as Christ has forgiven you, to not harbour the anger you are showing online and to seek to assume best about a fellow brother who no doubt has had many moments of disappointment for others. May God show you the grace you need to do this.
