The scene where Desmond goes back and breaks up with Penny. One of my favorites. If anyone has the standalone score/music to this please let me know!!! I cannot find it on the soundtrack CD!!

The actress who plays Penny is incredibly talented. The way you can see on her face at 0:54 that she realizes what’s happening. In “The Constant” she also has this amazing moment with her eyes when Desmond says he won’t call for eight years.

A dream that doesn't last forevere in most cases. Women often start with a dream which then turns into "I pretend more from you". I have seen this happening too many time around me and it's scary.

I’ve been though this. You love someone so much. And they love you. They do everything for you. Yet you feel insecure. Worthless. Unworthy of the love you have. This worthless feeling is so strong you feel you’d rather let the love of your life with someone else and let them go because you truly think they deserve better than “YOU”. Amazing scene.

I just went through this past week and it does suck when you thought you had a great person in you life and they feel insecure or feel they can't give you enough. this is one of my favorite episodes of LOST.

My girlfriends makes more than me, she is pretty and I understand when you are caring and when you get the better end of a deal, it feels unfair to her in my mind, I make her laugh she loves me but most days I feel like Desmond that she deserves someone who is not coward. I hang on to her but, what they are saying is true sometimes in fact many times love is not enough being a decent person is not enough

@@Makylucky The scene was pretty self explanatory I thought. Penny said she loved him for who he was and what he had/didn't have, Desmond justified ending the relationship based on his perception of what he needed to be and have as her partner.

This happened to me two days ago, he felt he couldn't do it anymore because of his situation which is even more stressful than Desmond's...I'm so hurt but I understand, at least we broke up still loving each other, I hope he wants again one day :(

I kinda want to know what could be more stressful than being a professional failure and a quitter, broke, feeling a inferior, being disapproved by the father of the girl although that is the only thing that would make you feel worthy of her, having a man die in front of you, a creepy old hag speaking in riddles as if she knows / owns your future and having your mind going back and forth in time without you having a clue of what the f is going on. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for your situation and hope you guys work things out. But the moment I read your comment I really could not come up with a decent idea.
